Nicole Kidman is not only an award-winning actress; she’s also the proud mother of four children.
“I love mothering. I love kids,” the 58-year-old told Marie Claire Australia in 2021.
“They’re quirky, funny and unfiltered. And then you get to see them grow and send them on their way.”
But for Nicole, there is a clear line between mother and friend. As she elegantly explained to The Daily Telegraph in 2026, shortly after her shock appearance at the Practical Magic 2 Sydney premiere with daughter Faith, Nicole is “a mother first.”
“You’re a mother, but you’re also a guide, a mentor, a safe haven, the place you can always come home to. But ultimately, as I always say to my kids, no, I’m not here to be your best friend, I’m here to actually be the person who is your rock,” she said.

Bella Kidman-Cruise
Shortly after Isabella Jane was born in December 1992 in Miami, Nicole adopted her with then-husband Tom Cruise.
However, after Nicole and Tom divorced in 2001, Bella mainly grew up with Tom in Beverly Hills.
Today, Bella, age 33, mainly stays out of the public eye and works as a fashion designer; where she started working for Holmes and Yang before she started her own line called BKC (which stands for Bella Kidman-Cruise) in 2018.
In 2015, she married British I.T. consultant Max Parker, however neither parents reportedly attended. The last time Bella was spotted with her famous family was in December 2023, posing for a photo with Connor and Tom at a hockey game.
Connor Cruise
Nicole also adopted Connor with Tom in 1995, shortly after Connor was born. Like Bella, Connor also mainly grew up with Tom after he and Nicole divorced.
As a child, Connor followed in his parents’ footsteps and acted in the films Seven Pounds and Red Dawn. He then pivoted to music, and released his debut single in 2013.
However, today, the 31-year-old runs a barbecuing business and regularly goes deep sea fishing.
It was reported in 2018 that Nicole wasn’t close with either Bella or Connor because they, like their father, were members of the Church of Scientology.
But Nicole cleared up those rumours and told WHO in November of that year, “They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.
“And I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here,” she continued.
Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban
During Nicole and Keith Urban’s 20 year marriage, they welcomed two daughters together. Their eldest, Sunday Rose, was welcomed via gestational surrogate on July 7 in 2008.
Sunday Rose was mostly kept out of the public eye by her famous parents, until she began pursuing a career in modeling. At 16 years old, Sunday made her debut at the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2025 runway show at Paris Fashion Week.
While speaking with Vogue at the time, Sunday confessed to practicing during school hours. “Whenever I’m walking down the hallway I feel like I’m strutting down to math class,” she said. “Everybody will be like, ‘I see you’re doing your runway walk.’”
Keith later told People that he was “very proud” of his daughter for following her dreams, but hopes they help Sunday Rose “keep balance with everything.”
Now, she has already worked with Dior, landed her first magazine cover with ELLE Australia, walked Paris Fashion Week (again), many red carpet debuts, and attended her first Met Gala by her mum’s side.
The Nashville-raised teenager revealed to ELLE Australia that Nicole was her “biggest inspiration” for creativity, and noted her aspirations of becoming a filmmaker.
In 2026, Sunday celebrated her 18th birthday. Nicole shared two flashback images of her daughter for the special occasion, with the caption: “Happy 18th my angel, you couldn’t be more loved ❤️”
Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban
Nicole and Keith welcomed Faith, also via gestational surrogate, on December 28 in 2010.
The youngest of Nicole’s children, Faith turned 15 at the end of 2025.
Like her older sister Sunday Rose, Faith used to be kept out of the public eye, however as the girls get older, they’re often Nicole’s plus one to some pretty spectacular events.
Faith joined her mother at The Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment event on December 4, 2024.
This year, Faith accompanied her mother and sister to the Chanel Womenswear SS26 show, following news of Nicole and Keith’s split.
But most recently, Nicole’s youngest hoped on a plane with her mum for the Sydney premiere of Practical Magic 2.
“Sunny is working right now, so she wishes she could have been here, but Faithy got on the plane with me and she’s like, ‘I’m coming, you’re not doing this alone,'” she explained to The Daily Telegraph.
“I wanted to bring this film home and I said to Warner Bros, ‘Can I at least go to Sydney with the film?’ and they were like, ‘Absolutely,’ and they sort of paved the way. So I got on a plane after we did the LA premiere.”
