At just 17, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban is stepping confidently into the fashion spotlight. The Nashville-raised teenager — the eldest daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban — has landed her first Australian magazine cover, fronting the March 2026 issue of ELLE Australia
Photographed in Nashville by Hannah Scott-Stevenson with fashion direction by ELLE’s Naomi Smith, the shoot captures a pivotal moment for the emerging model and aspiring filmmaker as her career gathers pace in the global fashion industry.
“I was so excited when I found out I was shooting this cover,” Sunday said in a statement. “I love how everyone [on set] has Australian accents. It feels like I’m with my family.”
Sunday’s modelling journey has unfolded quickly over the past two years. She made her runway debut in October 2024, walking for Miu Miu during the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 presentation. This major first step introduced her to the international fashion circuit.
Since then, she has continued building her presence on some of fashion’s biggest stages. Earlier this year, she walked in Dior’s Spring/Summer 2026 show in Paris, which also marked Jonathan Anderson’s debut as the house’s creative director of women’s ready-to-wear fashion.
Reflecting on the experience of stepping onto the runway, Sunday admits the moment was more focused than glamorous.

“When I got out onto the runway, I couldn’t see a single person because I was so focused on what was ahead of me and walking in those heels!”
Despite her rapid rise in fashion, Sunday has spent much of her childhood largely out of the public eye.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, she grew up away from the constant spotlight that often surrounds celebrity families. Instead, her upbringing focused on creativity and strong values at home.
“Something that’s always been followed in my house is doing, not just saying,” she shares. “If you say you’re going to do something, stick to your word and do it.”
She also credits her mother’s influence as a major source of inspiration.

“My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do.”
“Every issue, ELLE spotlights young, fascinating up-and-coming talent. From Margot Robbie to Milly Alcock, we capture them for our covers when they are on the cusp of making it big,” says editor Jessica Bailey.
“This moment now belongs to Sunday Rose. Confident, intelligent, ambitious, and as professional on set as a seasoned model, we’re about to see her everywhere.”
As she approaches her 18th birthday in July, Sunday is still navigating the balance between teenage life and an increasingly global career.

For now, school remains an important anchor.
“Being in school is actually really helpful,” she says. “It keeps me grounded.”
It’s a perspective that reflects both her youth and the steady approach she appears to be taking as opportunities in fashion — and potentially film — continue to expand.
With her first Australian magazine cover now under her belt and a growing list of fashion houses already on her résumé, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban looks poised for a defining year ahead.
