Congratulations are in order: Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerly have reportedly welcomed their first child together!
While details about the birth, including the child’s name and birthday, have not been revealed, People confirmed the couple welcomed a baby boy.
It was in July 2024 that several outlets reported that the Barbie actress was expecting her first child with her husband of seven years.
While the couple never publicly confirmed the exciting news themselves, “multiple sources” did verify to People that they were indeed expecting. Margot and Tom were also spotted at multiple events following this, with the actress accentuating her beautiful bump.
The couple were first seen boarding a boat in Lake Como, with Margot proudly showing off her baby bump in a cropped, white tee.
Following this, they made a very public display at the 2024 Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Margot wore a stunning black and white polka dress and sat next to Tom who lovingly rested his hand on her stomach.
Margot’s final public appearance was alongside her husband for the My Old Ass Special Campfire Screening where she was glowing in a figure-hugging brown mid-length dress.
The Australian actress first met her now-husband in 2013 on the set of Suite Française.
She starred in the World War II film and Tom worked as the assistant director.
Then in 2014, Margot and Tom, along with Josey McNamara and Margot’s childhood friend Sophia Kerr, formed the production company LuckyChap.
LuckyChap has gone on to produce several hit shows and films like Dollface, I, Tonya, Maid, Barbie and Saltburn.
After working together for some time, Margot and Tom’s relationship shifted from professional to romantic; and while they never publicly announced their engagement, in December 2016, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony held in Byron Bay.
Just last month, Tom told The Sunday Times how he and Margot balance working together as a married couple, saying:
“It’s seamless.
“We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.”
