TRIGGER WARNING: This article discusses pregnancy loss. Reader discretion is advised.
Today co-host Sarah Abo is expecting her first baby with husband Cyrus Moran.
The Channel Nine journalist held back tears while sharing the news to her colleagues, admitting it has been a difficult journey.
“Cyrus and I are expecting a little baby,” the 39-year-old shared. “I know it’s obviously very happy news. But it hasn’t been the easiest journey to get here, which I know a lot of our beautiful viewers out there have been through this and are feeling this right now, because it’s not as easy as some might think pregnancy is.
“It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride, but here we are and it’s getting harder to hide.”

Sarah confessed the pair had suffered two miscarriages in 2025, but they have reached past the halfway mark with her current pregnancy – which she revealed was a baby boy.
“I think that’s also why I’ve been so cautious about sharing this news, which obviously I’m so thrilled to be sharing with you all, but I’m still terrified,” she said.
“I’m still finding it hard to believe that it’s happening and I will lean in and enjoy it, but a lot of people understand what it’s like to have this cautious optimism.”
Given their difficulties, Sarah put off telling her friends and family until they were “confident with our most recent test.”
“When you’re a 40-year-old woman and pregnant for the first time this far along, it doesn’t happen overnight,” she said. “I just want people to know that this takes effort, this takes work and just because you want it, it’s going to happen.
“But Cyrus is so, so happy and he is going to be the most beautiful father and we already love this child so much, he is coming into a world that adores him.”
