Even though the housing market is in shambles, there is nothing stopping The Block from returning to our screens in 2026 with new contestants ready to share sweat, blood and tears for the winning prize.
It is a season jam packed with epic renovations and explosive drama, but we just can’t get enough. But, it wouldn’t be The Block without fan-favourites Scotty Cam (with his sidekick Frankie), and Shelley Craft.
The 2026 season is going to be a special one, if not the “biggest” according to judge Darren Palmer. Whether he means builds, contestants or something else entirely, we are yet to find out.

Who are the judges on The Block 2026?
Who is critiquing all the final rooms, finished or not? Fans will be over the moon to learn our favourite trio is returning to The Block this year: Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox.
Interior designer Darren is a staple on the program, having joined in 2010 – the longest serving judge. His first TV appearance was in 2009 as a contestant on HOMEmade, created by the same producers of The Block.
Shaynna joined shortly after in 2012, and has hosted many other programs including Selling Houses Australia and kicked off her own singing career.
In 2026, Shaynna and Darren are collaborating for a different renovation series titled, 1 Euro House, where they quite literally purchase an Italian home for one euro.
Italy recently introduced the scheme to repopulate rural villages, but the buyer must commit to an intense renovation. There’s a reason these homes cost one euro… Nine are yet to reveal the premiere date.
Real estate tycoon Marty is the newcomer on The Block, but after three seasons he has earned his tough critic label. He initially began in 2023 as a guest judge, taking over Neale Whitaker’s position, before joining permanently the following year.
Where is The Block 2026 filming?
It is going to be a very beautiful season of The Block in 2026, because we’re being transported to the idyllic seaside town, Mount Eliza. The Mornington Peninsula suburb is just over an hour drive outside of Melbourne’s city centre.
“We’ve got a great block with views straight over the bay. It’s going to be fantastic. Great little town, and we’re really excited to get there,” Scotty said.
We might even get a visit from 2025 contestants, Emma and Ben who live five minutes away!
Who are The Block 2026 contestants?
Little can be revealed about the five teams competing on The Block this season, but we do know their names!
On the yellow team is Lisa and Rosco, the red team is Adam and Jolene, Rick and Tayla are the green team, Chantel and Wyatt are the blue team, and lastly is Sev and Courtney on the pink team.
