- Meet the contestants below.
The Block returned to our screens for the 2026 season, and we got to meet this year’s crop of contestants!
For the uninitiated, The Block follows five teams as they renovate (or build like they did last season) five homes. This year, in Block first, the show is moving to Mount Eliza in the Mornington Peninsula.
Scotty Cam is back with Shelley Craft to host the series, with Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox back as judges. The five teams will work under the watchful eye of The Block‘s foreman Dan Reilly.
This year, the blocks are divided into Uptown and Downtown. The three Uptown houses are elevated with two stories, great views, and sit on 1000sqm of land. Whereas one of the two Downtown plots sits on 1435 sqm, and each has more interior space overall and views of Port Phillip.
Unlike the previous season, the contestants aren’t staying on-site. Instead, they will be staying in a sharehouse nearby provided by Emma and Ben from last season in Daylesford!
The winner wins $100,000 and enters into a prize pool worth half a million.
Watch The Block on Channel Nine on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at 7.30 pm and Sundays at 7 pm or catch up online on 9Now.
Meet The Block 2026 contestants below, but beware…SPOILERS AHEAD!
Meet The Block 2026 contestants
Chantel and Wyatt
Gold Coast, QLD
Chantel is a busy woman; first and foremost, she says, she’s a full-time stay-at-home mum. She has two sons and a daughter. However, she also owns and operates an activewear business, plus The Block shares some photos of what looks like a body-building competition!
Her partner, Wyatt (nicknamed Randy or The Top Dog), is likewise incredibly fit. He works as a personal trainer and online fitness coach. They actually met at the gym.
If their muscles are more than just for show, they should have no trouble lugging tools, materials, and furniture around their site.
Adam and Jolene
Roxby Downs, SA
“Sometimes we refer to ourselves as the ‘Bush Bogans’,” says Jolene (42) on the premiere episode of this season of The Block.
We’re not classy,” her husband Adam (48) adds. “We probably swear too much.”
The two run a cattle station in Roxby Downs, SA. Well, actually they manage three properties for an Aboriginal corporation. They know how to get their hands dirty and get the job done. They arrive at The Block plots in matching outfits with classic cowboy hats.
The couple have a blended family. When they married, Adam already had twins, and Jolene had two sons and a daughter as well.
“We’re the modern-day Brady Bunch,” they say.
Lisa and Rosco
Perth, WA.
The Block introduces us to this couple from WA with their engagement video on a white sand beach. They also share their (frankly wild) wedding video, and Lisa admits that everyone got COVID at their wedding!
Lisa (34) is a paramedic, and Rosco (38) is a FIFO oil and gas logistics expert in Barrow Island. They have a son, Lando, who’s two years old. They’re hoping that if they win, Rosco can move home.
Rick and Tayla
Altona, VIC
Father and daughter team, Rick (63) and Tayla (32), didn’t have far to travel for the challenge, and they also might have the skills to make them contenders. Rick is a builder; he’s been working in construction for 45 years. He says he has renovated upwards of 100 houses in his time.
Tayla is a personal trainer and mum; she says that she knows how to boss people around. Her son is their main driver to win this season.
Courtney and Sev
Brisbane, QLD
Brisbane besties Courtney (34) and Sev (37) have a secret weapon: their jobs! Sev is an actual interior designer. Therefore, she knows the ins and outs of the job and will likely know what the judges will be looking for, plus where problems may arise. However, she normally works to a brief; in The Block, she will have free rein with creativity.
Even more of a secret weapon is Courtney, who is a construction site manager! But she’s keeping it secret and telling the rest of the teams that she works in admin.
“I’m very good at my job,” she tells production in the first episode.
