If you love home decorating and renovating, it will likely be on your watchlist come 2026.

Here’s everything we know about the show so far…

What’s the premise of My Reno Rules?

As mentioned, this show is Seven’s answer to Nine’s The Block. If you love that, then My Reno Rules should be right up your alley.

In Seven’s reality show, four teams will go head-to-head to renovate neighbouring houses in a suburb in Melbourne. The team that creates the best renovated property will win a cash prize (currently an undisclosed amount).

However, unlike The Block, My Reno Rules will host a live grand finale instead of an auction. There, two Australians will win the renovated, fully furnished, landscaped, and kitted-out houses! Live on TV.

Self-made billionaire and internet personality, Adrian Portelli, is giving away the two renovated homes to two lucky families. You might recognise Adrian from The Block. Over the years, he has bid on and purchased homes at The Block’s auctions. In 2025, he bought all five homes!

Who is hosting My Reno Rules?

It was previously announced that Australia’s favourite television vet, Dr Chris Brown, was set to join the new renovation show.

“With the dream of owning your own home still top of the list for most Aussies, I can’t wait to have a front row seat to that becoming a reality,” Chris said in a statement. “It’s going to be a heartwarming ride!”

Who is on the judging panel?

Interior design expert and former editor-in-chief of Belle and Vogue Living, Neale Whitaker, is one of the judges on the panel of the upcoming show. Neale is well-used to judging on renovation shows, having judged on The Block for 15 years and appeared on Love It or List It.

Joining him on the panel are buyer’s agent Simon Cohen and interior designer Julia Green.

‘I’m thrilled to be joining a show that will truly redefine renovation TV. Along with Simon and Julia, I get to share my experience with a new generation of Aussie renovators in one of my favourite cities,” Neale said in a statement. “I can’t wait to see the creative and innovative ideas our teams bring to the competition,” he added.

With filming still underway in Melbourne, Neale revealed he was very excited to return to work.

“It’s a lot of fun, and it’s wonderful to be involved with a new show,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle in November.

“It’s good to have my sort of judging boots back on again, or my judging hat back on again, and so far, it feels like a real feel-good show.”

When will My Reno Rules premiere?

As mentioned, we don’t have a premiere date, so we will have to wait until 2026 to see the show on our screens.
