Who’s leaving Travel Guides in 2026?

Channel Nine hasn’t confirmed whether anyone from the current Travel Guides cast won’t be in the 2026 season.

But there are some rumours swirling around that one of the beloved teams might leave, as Channel Nine is on the hunt for some new blood before filming commences this year in August.

“We are searching for new groups of holidaymakers to become travel critics,” the network’s callout reads.

“You could be jet-setting around the globe just like our favourite Guides, The Fren Family, Karly and Bri, ‘holiday snobs’ Kevin and Janetta, best mates Kev, Dorian and Teng (aka The Target Boys), and happy-go-lucky couple Matt and Brett.”

How do I apply?

Channel Nine is looking for a group of two to four people, who are all over the age of 18 and have current passports.

To apply, you’ll need to upload a video of your group and fill out the application form before June 16, 2025.

Successful applicants must be able to travel between August 2025 and January 2026.

Do Travel Guides contestants get paid?

Like most reality shows, the cast members get a daily allowance.

“We get an allowance. We get a daily allowance,” Kevin told Mammamia in June 2025.

The holiday snob kept mum on what the daily allowance is but Matt and Brett shared that it’s not the money, it’s the travelling that makes being on Travel Guides so worthwhile.

“The holidays are something that we simply wouldn’t be able to afford,” Matt said.

“If we were able to add up all the experiences, all the flights and accommodation that we’ve been able to experience – it’s like winning the lotto, really,” Brett agreed.
