Which is set to premiere in late 2024.

Veteran Australian journalist Tracy Grimshaw is officially returning to television in 2024!

The new show, titled Do You Want To Live Forever?, will premiere on Channel Nine later this year with Tracy co-hosting alongside medical expert Dr Nick Coatsworth.

Do You Want to Live Forever? will follow four ordinary Australians as they undergo medically supervised trials to try to answer the question: Can we rewind our biological clock and extend our lifespan?

“This project was Nick Coatsworth’s idea and I’m really looking forward to working with him on it,” Tracy says. “I’m keen to explore exactly what a long life will look like.

“While in honesty I really haven’t spent my life looking for the fountain of youth, I’m fascinated by how far people are taking that search, and how advanced medicine is becoming in that space. I’m a bit of a medical nerd so the research has been a pleasure.”

“For centuries people have been captivated by the idea of living forever,” Dr Coatsworth added. “I am extremely excited to be working with the highly respected Tracy Grimshaw on this new series. Together, we will follow eight everyday Australians as they positively shift the dial of their health and longevity.”

Do You Want To Live Forever? marks Tracy’s return to television after she stepped down as the host of Nine’s A Current Affair (ACA) in November 2022.

During the 17 years Tracy hosted ACA, she won a Walkley Award for excellence in Broadcast and Online Interviewing in 2009 and was nominated for two Logie Awards in 2018.

Not to mention, she conducted numerous emotionally charged interviews that ended up dominating headlines across the country.

The poignant 2006 interview with Brant Webb and Todd Russell, who survived the Beaconsfield Mine disaster after becoming trapped, for instance.

Or the heart wrenching 2012 interview Tracy conducted with Lindy Chamberlain just two months after coroner Elizabeth Morris ruled that a dingo had indeed taken her baby, Azaria.

Prior to A Current Affair, Tracy co-hosted Today for nine years, from 1996 to 2005, co-hosted The Midday Show in 1995, and was the presenter of Nine Morning News in 1987.
