Episode six of Farmer Wants A Wife 2026 added a little more drama than we’re used to experiencing on the hit show, warning spoilers ahead!
I have been covering this show for the better part of a decade and am well-versed in its lore and parlance. This popular reality show, responsible for 11 marriages and close to 30 children, is getting a little messy this year. And I’m (perhaps controversially) on the side of the villain.
If you missed episode six of the 2026 Farmer Wants A Wife season, you missed a dramatic exit! So allow me to recap it for you, but beware, serious spoilers lie ahead…

Episode 6
Welcome back to another recap of Farmer Wants A Wife 2026; read on for a full breakdown of episode six, but only if you want major spoilers!
We picked up where episode five left off (you can read my recap here, but for a quick reminder, things got heated between Miranda and Maya after some idle gossip was shared with Farmer Zac’s twin sister), and honestly, things are now tense on the farm.
I personally just want the Band-Aid to be ripped off (AKA Miranda and Maya should apologise to each other and move on). It’s festered long enough, and they’re all acting like children. In fact, I don’t think any of these people are ready to be a wife (and I don’t think Farmer Zac is ready to be a husband). Sorry, not sorry.
Sadly, nothing was said during breakfast. Miranda and Maya pretty much ignored each other, and while Zac admitted to producers, he could feel the tension; he did nothing to dissolve it.
At this point, host Natalie Gruzlewski revealed it’s “double date” time! Meaning each farmer had to pick two women to go on a date with — we love a throuple.
However, there was a twist: Natalie said that at the end of the day, each farmer has to send one of the two women he selects for the double date to go home.
Jarrad picked Cara and Carly, Alex picked Eddy and Gabbie, Dylan picked Lily and Ally (when will Renae get her chance?!), and Zac picked Miranda and Maya (I 100% believe producers told him to pick these two).
Jarrad took Cara and Carly fishing. Cara acted like a damsel in distress just so Jarrad would constantly help her (and ignore Carly). And it was VERY obvious. Even Carly playfully said to Cara, “You know exactly what you’re doing.”
And yet when a producer later asked Jarrad about it, his clueless ass said, “Really, do you think Cara was being strategic?!” I’ve said since episode one that I’ve got some reservations about this farmer and his intentions… but maybe he’s just a little oblivious?
Alex took Eddy and Gabbie out for a game of tennis. Eddy and Gabbie teamed up to take Alex on, and considering Alex was on the other side of the court, nothing too romantic transpired.
Zac took Miranda and Maya rock climbing, and as much as the drama is annoying the living daylights out of me, I felt sorry for Maya, as she’s afraid of heights; what a terrible date for her.
Plus, there was obvious chemistry between Zac and Miranda during the date. And I wasn’t the only one who noticed. Maya later told producers, “I do notice playful, sexual energy between Zac and Miranda. I do find it quite hard to watch… I’m feeling a little intimidated.”
For Dylan’s double date, he took Lily and Ally horse-riding. Well, kind of. Lily went for a ride, and Ally refused to have a go.
Dylan – obviously still annoyed Ally didn’t play football in episode five – was not happy and started to wonder if he could be with someone who isn’t willing to give new things a crack.
At this stage, the private chats started, with Dylan taking Lily aside first. The two bonded over how hard the overall Farmer Wants A Wife experience is.
The sheep farmer ended up admitting that he still has feelings for Lily, but because he’s so overwhelmed with choice, he needs her to “chase” him a little, so he knows she’s still interested. Lily confirmed that moving forward, she will do so.
Meanwhile, Jarrad took Carly for a private chat. She said she wanted him to know that she has taken a bit of a step back, but not because she’s not interested in him; because it was the “respectful” thing to do, considering she got the 24-hour date and the first solo date. Carly then confessed she’s actually very interested in Jarrad.
But to this admission, Jarrad bluntly said he feels like their connection has “maybe flatlined a little bit.” Yikes. Why don’t you want me to like you, Jarrad? I’m trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but every episode you give me a new red flag.
Carly was obviously upset. “‘Flatlined’ is pretty brutal,” she told producers. Pretty brutal, is right, Carly.
During a happier private chat, Eddy laid her cards on the table for Alex.
“I just have to hope that you see the same thing I do, we’ve got something good here… I’m keen to see how it goes,” she said.
For a second, I thought Alex was going to break Eddy’s heart (he’s been acting distant with her since she said grace at a dinner and he realised she’s a little religious and he’s not). But instead, he confessed:
“Whenever I look at you, I’m just like, ‘How did I possibly end up here with you?’ I’ve come out of every date so far and thought about you.”
I audibly squealed at this ridiculously cute declaration and am so happy the faith gap isn’t going to be a dealbreaker! Although at the same time, I did feel a little sorry for Gabbie and Suzannah, who had been on dates with Alex.
After their chat, Alex and Eddy hugged (and only hugged). Yes, Alex went in for a kiss, but Eddy dodged it, explaining, “I’m not kissing you when Gabbie’s there.”
I really respected Eddy for being so considerate of Gabbie, but Alex looked extremely upset. Like a child going into the living room on Christmas morning and discovering there are no presents under the tree. I honestly think this is a done deal; Alex will make Eddy his wife by the end of this season. Mark my words.
The next private chat was between Dylan and Ally. He admitted he’s getting “mixed signals” from her and just needs to know where they stand.
Ally revealed she was cheated on in a previous relationship and has some “trust issues” that are being tested by the format of FWAW.
“I’m struggling with you seeing other people… I know that’s what I signed up for,” she said.
The conversation was a whole lot of nothing in my opinion. It didn’t resolve anything, but there’s obvious chemistry between Dylan and Ally; the two actually had a little make-out session after talking. But at least Dylan is aware that chemistry isn’t all that’s required for a relationship to last.
“I don’t know what it is, hey. There’s something about her that, instead of thinking straight, I just kind of blur out… I went in there asking for reassurance, but I didn’t really get it. I didn’t come on this to make someone else completely happy, I want it to be a mutual agreement, and I’m struggling a bit with Ally in that regard,” he told producers.
There were no private chats during Zac’s double date with Miranda and Maya. But after rock climbing, the three enjoyed lunch together, and FINALLY discussed what happened the other night at the pub with his twin sister. Sadly, everyone seemed to tiptoe around it, and not all of the details came out, and no apologies were made. Sigh.
While all the double dates went down, Farmer Jason went on a solo date with Logan.
Thank goodness, as the dairy farmer only has two women left, and a double date with a mandatory elimination would not have been very fair on him, Logan or Poppy.
Jason and Logan really bonded on their date, especially over both being single parents. The two ended up kissing, and it looked like there were some definite sparks! This made me very happy as it’s obvious as Jason is a big ol’ softie genuinely looking for love, and it’s been sad to watch three of his ladies’ leave of their own accord.
Speaking of leaving, just before the eliminations kicked off, Gabbie decided to leave Alex’s mushroom farm.
She said that it was clear Alex has made stronger connections with the other women (cough Eddy cough), and she’s not “bitter” or anything, she just wants to leave him to it.
Alex hugged her goodbye and then told producers it was “tough” that Gabbie left, and it made him realise he really needs to at least try with his other ladies.
“Eddy’s obviously on my mind, but the other girls are great too.” Gee, I’d hate to be anyone but Eddy on Alex’s farm. The boy has been SMITTEN since episode one. Just send Suzannah and Alicia home, mate.
During his farm’s elimination dinner, Jarrad sent Cara home; the right decision in my opinion. She took it graciously, and Carly was very relieved.
“After the flatline comment he made, I hope I can reignite the sparks.”
During Dylan’s elimination dinner, Lily found out that he and Ally had kissed during their double date and was extremely displeased.
Shout out to Scarlett, who made me laugh out loud; she quipped, “Where’s the wine?” as soon as Lily started voicing her displeasure.
“Do you think that as a date with the three of us, that was a respectful thing to do to me?”
Ally stood her ground and replied, “Both of us are here to form a connection with Dylan, so yeah.”
Lily went on to say that Ally kissing Dylan was “sneaky and behind my back.”
“It’s not my intention. There was no ill intent,” Ally simply said.
Then Lily gave the monologue of all monologues, and I had to rewatch it multiple times so I could quote the entire, iconic thing:
“I came here to find something, and I’m trying to follow my heart, and my heart is telling me it doesn’t belong here. It’s telling me it belongs out there. And I’m having a really hard time justifying everything I put on the line to be here. The world is on fire, the oceans are dying, and I can’t get past it. And I’m finding it really hard to sit here and it’s just not me. Being here. And that’s why I think it’s best if I leave tonight.”
I’m sorry, but the phrase, “the world is on fire, the oceans are dying,” made me literally spit out my tea, and I’ll be using that in my everyday life from now on.
Lily then turned on Dylan, “And you saying you wanted me to chase you didn’t sit right with me. It’s a two-way street… I’m really not seeing a lot of that from you.”
Dylan took the criticism graciously and agreed with her. He also respected Lily’s decision to leave.
But Lily wasn’t finished. She had much more to say. “I don’t hold grudges against any single one of you, but this has tipped me over the edge. I wouldn’t do that to another girl… It’s a little bit childish.”
Pot calling the kettle black with this whole dramatic spectacle of an exit doll.
Finally, Lily packed up her things and made her way out to the car with just Dylan. As she got in, she whispered to him, “I feel you need to be careful with Ally. I found her really sneaky and I’m trying not to mean but be careful.” Ooft.
And this comment definitely made an impact on Dylan. “I’m a little rattled. I don’t want to think what Lily said before she left was true, but it’ll sit in the back of my mind,” he said.
The elimination dinner at Zac’s farm was equally tense.
Why is there so much drama on the ‘younger’ farms? Actually, never mind. It’s because they’re all in their early to mid-20s. Duh.
Miranda said to Maya, “I still don’t think it was fair, the position I was put in, the things you said about me to Zac’s sister… Do you still stand by what you said to Zac’s sister?”
To which she replied, “I never meant to single you out. I am truly sorry that I did make you feel that way, and I actually hated speaking about other people, other than myself and Zac, to his sister. I actually have high respect for you, Miranda, and I hope you can see that.”
What a lovely apology. She didn’t make excuses, and she was very sincere. PLEASE, can we let this whole thing go now? Obviously not, as rather than simply accepting the apology, Miranda said:
“I feel like I’m a very straight-up and honest person. If I don’t like something, I would say it to [that person]. Not talk about people behind their backs, and I think I’ve made that pretty clear. It was just hard hearing things like that.”
Ultimately, Zac sent Miranda home, and I was genuinely SHOCKED. I thought the obvious chemistry between them would give her, not Maya, the edge.
“Being open and honesty is my biggest thing. And I struggle with confrontation; it’s good to talk about things, but some things I can’t quite look past. Sorry to say, unfortunately, Miranda, I can’t see us going any further from here. I’m really sorry,” Zac said, clearly upset.
The apple farmer later told producers that what made him decide was seeing Miranda be “passive-aggressive” at the dinner table. Fair enough. Although I don’t think Maya is the right match for Zac either. We’ll see though…
