John Travolta reminisces about the time he danced with the late Princess Diana

The actor made the sweet comments while presenting Prince Harry with an award.

John Travolta has further spoken about the time he danced with the late Princess Diana in 1985.

The actor and pilot recently hosted a ceremony, where four recipients were honoured with a Living Legends of Aviation medal.

And among the four recipients was Prince Harry, which is why in his opening remarks, John referred to the dance he shared with Diana.

According to Hello, John shared that when he danced with Diana, Harry was there but was just one year old. John then added:

“Now I see you again under a new circumstance, on a new stage.”

Later in the evening, when Harry accepted his award onstage from John, the Duke of Sussex furthered John’s comments and said:

“I was one year old when you danced with my mum… But look at us now, it’s great! So, if we’re not going to dance together, we’ll fly together.”

John has previously described the moment he danced with Diana during a dinner at Ronald Reagan’s White House as one of the “highlights of my life.”

The Grease star has also previously said of the moment, “I was awestruck with her [Diana]. She led the way, and I thought, ‘Well, that’s not going to happen! I’ve got to go back to my school days of learning ballroom dancing and show that I can lead her.’”

John has been a licensed pilot since he was 22-years-old.

As for Harry, he received a Living Legends of Aviation medal for the decade he served as a helicopter pilot in the British Army.

During that time, Harry undertook two tours of Afghanistan, as well as multiple training flights in the UK, US, and Australia.

Harry’s fellow Living Legends of Aviation honourees included Navy pilot Fred George, CAE president Marc Parent and aviator Steve Hinton.
