The Princess of Wales has launched the latest episode of her new web series, ‘Mother Nature”. The seasonal web series celebrates the change of nature throughout the year.

When she first posted a teaser for the series, speculation was rampant in the comments. Was she starting a new podcast like her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle or fellow royal Queen Mary? Was she releasing a documentary about her love of nature? Was it simply a celebration of May and her wedding anniversary with Prince William?

The footage of the first video in the web series was captured by Will Warr while Prince William and Princess Catherine were on an official visit to the Scottish island of Mull.

Princess Catherine narrates the videos in the web series and appears in the footage picking wildflowers and walking with and embracing her husband, Prince William. Alongside those shots, there are some truly gorgeous shots of the white cliffs surrounding the island, wildlife grazing on the land, the season changes, and lots of flowers. Nature is front and centre and celebrated in every pixel of the video.

“Over the past year, nature has been my sanctuary,” the narration begins. “The natural world’s capacity to inspire us, to nurture us and help us heal and grow is boundless and has been understood for generations.

Catherine has recently revealed that she is in remission from her cancer diagnosis last year. She has been slowly returning to royal activities, including the visit to Mull, which we now know had a secret agenda of filming content for Princess Catherine’s new web series.

The Princess of Wales is well known for her love of nature, in addition to being President of the scouts, on 9 May 2025, the Royal Horticultural Society announced a new rose, called ‘Catherine’s Rose’ grown by Harness Roses, all proceeds of the sales of these roses will go towards The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, where Catherine was treated.

Episode One: “Spring”

“It is through nature, that we can fully understand the true interconnectedness of all things, the importance of balance and the importance of renewal and resilience. Connecting to nature helps us to experience a deeper sense of ourselves, the world around us, and each other.”

She ends the video with, “Spring is here, so let’s make the most of it together.”

Alongside the pilot episode of the new web series, Princess Catherine also shared a post to the official Instagram page, writing:

SPRING.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we are celebrating humanity’s longstanding connection to nature, and its capacity to inspire us and help us to heal and grow in mind, body and spirit.

As we confront the challenges of an increasingly complex and digital world, the importance of the connection between humanity and nature takes on even more significance.

The Mother Nature series is a reminder and reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience. It is a tribute to the lessons we can learn from nature, helping us to foster our own growth, strengthen our bonds with the world around us and each other. C

Episode Two: Summer

Later than perhaps anticipated, on 14 August 2025, Princess Catherine released the second episode of the Mother Nature series titled “Summer”.

Unlike the first episode, which featured the Prince and Princess of Wales on their official visit to the Scottish island of Hull, this second episode is set in Wales and doesn’t feature the royals at all. Instead, the subjects of this episode are British people going about their summer lives at home.

There is a man gardening, groups of young people enjoying the summer together, a person hiking, a couple and young families on a pebbly beach, two friends going wild swimming, and a farmer tilling his land. Also in the video is a group of girls in soft blue gowns. It was later revealed that these girls are students of the Royal Ballet School, who shared a reel to their Instagram thanking Princess Catherine for including them in the latest episode of Mother Nature.

A recurring image in the episode is the Twr Mawr Lighthouse, located on Ynys Llanddwyn, a tidal island off the coast of Anglesey, Wales, where we assume this episode is filmed. It’s a touching tribute to the royals’ place of title. Also in the video are numerous shots of bees and flowers, similar to the first episode.

Princess Catherine captioned the video with a touching reminder on Instagram:

“Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship. It has never been more important to appreciate the value of one another, and of Mother Nature. Here’s to Summer. C”

Episode Three: Autumn

A reflective third episode dropped on 15 November 2025: “Autumn”. Again, the episode was filmed and edited by Will Warr.

In the episode, Catherine is first seen walking through a forest with chef Gill Meller and interacting with children from Farley Junior Academy in Luton. This school, together with children’s charity Go Beyond, organises trips into nature for children across the UK who are living in unfortunate circumstances. In the episode, Catherine and the children join Gill in what looks like an outdoor cooking lesson as he lights a campfire and they prepare ingredients in Windsor Park.

Alongside the episode, Catherine shared a caption, “Autumn – a season of reflection, growth and deeper connection. Embrace the beauty found in change, as we prepare for winter’s rest. C”.

Like the previous episodes, Autumn features footage of nature all around the United Kingdom. In addition to Windsor, also spotted are areas in Northern Ireland, where Catherine and Prince William visited earlier this year, Long Meadow Cider and Mallon Farm.

The narrative of this episode is very reflective and invites the viewers to take stock of their lives and “find clarity and purpose in what matters most.”

In 2025, Princess Catherine overcame personal struggles, most notably her cancer remission and recovery, and undoubtedly, she is feeling reflective as we come up to the anniversary of her stepping away from royal duties in January 2024. Her final message is one of determination: “Endure”

Autumn:

“As the days grow shorter and the shadows grow longer, the energy of summer withdraws into autumn. This is the season for reflection and refinement. Trees shed their canopies in preparation for winter. Just as we too learn to let go of what is no longer needed. Through greater awareness of our inner and outer worlds, we can find clarity and purpose in what matters most. Encouraging us to simply pay attention and listen. With the turning of the seasons, Mother Nature teaches us there’s beauty to be found in change, impermanence, and in letting go. These are the natural cycles of life. Whilst the blossoms fall and the colours fade, the roots grow deeper, stronger. Let love be the root that holds us. The light that guides us with hope through change. Endure.”

Episode Four: Winter

The fourth episode of the series was released on Princess Catherine’s 44th birthday, January 9, 2026.

In the episode, Princess Catherine wears a green trench coat and Baker Boy cap to wander through nature’s chillest season. The latest video, filmed again by Will War, shows stunning scenes of UKs woodlands, mountains, streams, and the ocean.

“There is so much we can learn from mother nature, as we look to build a happier, healthier world. C,” she captioned the video.

Following her battle with cancer, the Princess of Wales has touched on nature’s ability to improve her mental and physical well-being.

Winter

“Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience and quiet consideration. Where the stream slows just enough, just for us to see our own reflection. To discover the deepest parts of ourselves, alongside the whispers and the pulse of every living thing. I find myself reflecting on how deeply grateful I am. For the rivers within us flow with ease, fears washed away, cleanse and purify. Come to peace with our tears and discover what it means to be alive. To be at one with nature, a quiet teacher and a soft voice that guides. In memory, helping us to heal.
