Even surrounded by some of Australia’s biggest names in television at the 2026 Logie Awards, all curious eyes were on Sylvia Jeffreys who confirmed her pregnancy mere hours before.
The beloved journalist shared a heartwarming picture of the family, where followers could feel their excitement even through the screen.
After their wedding in 2017, Sylvia and Peter welcomed two boys: Oscar in 2020 and Henry in 2021, who are now completely over the moon to learn they’d be brothers to a little sister.
“Oh baby… number 3 is on the way and the boys are already taking their big bro duties seriously,” Sylvia captioned the announcement on Instagram.
“Swipe for the moment Oscar told us it’s a … GIRL! We hope she digs footy merch, because there’ll be a lot of hand-me-downs…. Jump on board, baby girl. It’s fun here. 🤍🎀.”
The exciting post received an abundance of love from her fellow TV stars, including Sam Armytage, David Campbell, Natalie Barr, Allison Langdon, Edwina Bartholomew, and Sarah Abo who recently welcomed her own child.
Hours later Sylvia walked the 66th Logies red carpet in a stunning navy blue long-sleeved gown, with the cheeky Instagram caption: “That feeling when you smuggle a plus one into the Logies 👼”
A home full of little ones has always been the dream, with Sylvia confessing to The Weekly, “Our hope is that down the track, we could have a house on the Gold Coast so that our kids can have the same experiences with their cousins that we both had as kids with our cousins.”
While Peter didn’t join his wife at the Logies ceremony, they’ve had plenty of date nights during their 12 year relationship. Syliva and Peter first met in 2014 while working on the Today show, and swiftly began dating.

Soon after however, Peter accepted a role overseas meaning the pair battled long distance. In July 2026, Peter popped the question in France.
“We’ve had the most wonderful time celebrating with great mates,” Sylvia confessed. “We couldn’t be happier (check the grins) and so excited to share the news with everyone.”
Surrounded by their loved ones, the couple tied the knot in Kangaroo Valley.
