Queen Silvia of Sweden gathered with all eight of her grandchildren to decorate the Christmas tree at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. But there was one grandchild that undoubtedly stole the show.
The palace shared a heartwarming video to the official Instagram account days before the festival holiday, revealing the children excitedly and chaotically decorating the Christmas tree.
“This year’s Christmas trees delivered to the Royal Palace… from Umea ,” the caption read, roughly translated from Swedish to English.
Every year, students from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences bring their best trees to the palace for the royal family to decorate. It is a tradition that has been around since the 1960s.
The royal children in attendance were Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel, and Prince Julian, all children of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. Joining them were Princess Madeleine’s three children: Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas, and Princess Adriene.
Helping wrangle the children was Princess Estelle, the eldest child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, with her brother Prince Oscar.
But the centre of attention was undoubtedly Princess Ines, the daughter of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. The ten-month-old was born on February 7.
