If you’re someone who constantly keeps a spare packet of tissues tucked into your handbag, dreads the change of seasons, or simply finds yourself waking up feeling a bit blocked and foggy, you’re far from alone. A stuffy, congested nose is one of those small but maddening things that can throw off your whole day – from how well you sleep to how sharp you feel by lunchtime.

While we’re all too familiar with the routine of reaching for temporary fixes to clear our airways, a popular new arrival from across the ditch is changing the conversation around daily nasal wellness.

After selling out completely following its launch in New Zealand, the award-winning Goodair Nosebuds has officially made its Australian debut.

What exactly are Goodair Nosebuds?

This small rechargeable device is designed to sit comfortably just inside the nostrils, with six different size options in the box so you can find your perfect fit. Once it’s in and you’re breathing normally, it emits a gentle, barely-there vibroacoustic frequency.

Rather than relying on harsh chemicals, that frequency is designed to work with your nose’s natural processes, not against them. Specifically, the brand notes it supports the nasal cilia – the tiny, hair-like structures lining your airways – as they do their everyday job of helping your nose clear itself.

It’s also completely drug- and medication-free.

Designed for everyday use, the drug-free device fits seamlessly into your routine to support better breathing flow and general nasal wellness.

How it works (and how it fits into your day)

Using the Nosebuds couldn’t be simpler, and it’s built around short sessions that fit into your day without disrupting it.

Just pick your silicone tip size, pop the device just inside your nostrils and switch it on. Once it’s running, you’ll feel a soft, vibrating hum as you breathe normally – no special breathing techniques required, it just works alongside however you’re already breathing.

The brand suggests finding whichever routine suits you best:

  • Two 10-minute sessions per day
  • One 20-minute session per day

It’s discreet enough to wear while you’re having your morning cuppa, curled up with a book, or winding down in front of the TV before bed. It’s designed to slot into your day rather than interrupt it.

Each device comes with its own portable charging case, and a full charge gives you up to 60 minutes of use. The soft silicone tips are removable and washable too, so the whole thing is easy to keep clean and reuse.

Why the New Zealand launch sold out

The device comes from the wellness brand Goodair, led by Chief Science Officer Dr David White, who’s spent more than 25 years researching nasal physiology.

It’s that expert-led, natural approach that helped the device fly off shelves so quickly during its New Zealand launch. It’s also picked up international design recognition along the way, including a Red Dot Product Design Award.

“The nose is one of the body’s most sophisticated systems, and most solutions on the market work around it rather than with it,” Dr White said. “We have spent more than 25 years studying nasal physiology specifically to develop a solution that supports what the nose is already designed to do.”
