It’s hard to believe the 2026 season of Farmer Wants A Wife is already nearing its end! Before you read on, there are major spoilers for episode 11 of Farmer Wants A Wife below.
We’ve already had one farmer leave the show after Alex declared his love for Eddy. Episode 11 kicked off with Natalie Gruzlewski telling us there are only 24 hours left on each farm – which means from episode 12 the remaining ladies will head home and we’ll get to see each farmer meet their families.
I have been covering this show for the better part of a decade. This popular reality show, responsible for 11 marriages and close to 30 children, is a mainstay on Aussie television. One of its alumni, Farmer David and Emily McMahon, joined us on The Australian Women’s Weekly Love Stories podcast. They spoke about their time on the show. Episode 11
Well, it’s official; the 2026 season of Farmer Wants A Wife is nearing its end! Episode 11 kicked off with Natalie Gruzlewski telling us there are only 24 hours left on each farm – which means from episode 12 the remaining ladies will head home and we’ll get to see each farmer meet their families.
There should also be the annual black-tie dinner in Sydney, where all of the farmers and their respective final two ladies dine together. And then, of course, Jason, Jarrad, Dylan and Zac will make their final decision. Eeeee!
But I’m getting ahead of myself… Back to episode 11.
The final solo dates of the season got underway, with Jarrad and Yvonne taking a helicopter to the Barossa Valley.
Then, over wine and cheese, Yvonne got into the nitty-gritty: she asked why Jarrad never opens up and seems to have a “guard up”.
And I have to applaud Jarrad’s vulnerability. The almond farmer said he’s guarded because his heart has been broken. He then revealed that his first (and only) marriage ended because he and his ex-wife “grew apart”, and it was hard.
Jarrad went on to confess that a few years after it ended, he met someone else, and it got really serious. He even introduced her to his children, and there was talk of marriage and more kids. But just two weeks after this woman moved to Jarrad’s farm, she said “I can’t do this,” and still to this day he doesn’t really know what happened or why she left.
At this point, Jarrad started crying. And I have to say, this whole admission marked the first time this season I’ve actually liked Jarrad.
Yvonne was also happy that he had finally let his guard down. She comforted him and then said, “I’m going to admit to you, I’m head over heels for you. I’m falling for you.” They kissed, and all in all, it was a good date.
As for Jason and Logan, the two went for a sailplane ride.
Afterwards, the two went for some food, and Logan finally confessed her feelings to Jason:
“I’m definitely falling for you a little bit; that’s really hard for me to say… Don’t laugh at me!”
The dairy farmer seemed very glad and replied, “I’m keen to see where this goes,” before kissing her.
However, Jason later told producers that while he feels chemistry with Logan, he is concerned about the age gap (she’s 10 years younger).
He went on to say that a few conversations have made it obvious they are from different generations, and that could be difficult in the long run. This is the first time this season he’s voiced this concern – why hasn’t he mentioned it before?! And why hasn’t he spoken about it with Logan???
For Zac and Maya’s solo date, the two went jet skiing. Obviously, the Channel 7 execs read my recap of episode 10, in which I criticised the constant picnic dates (this is a joke, I know this was all filmed months ago).
Afterwards, while enjoying champagne and seafood, Zac asked Maya about her goals. She admitted that she wants her own career and would really love to do something in the medical industry. She then, in turn, asked if that was a deal breaker for Zac and whether he wanted his future partner to give up their career and work on the farm.
Zac said no. “There’s no expectation of any future partner to work on the farm.”
The conversation then drifted to Zac’s goal of one day getting married on his apple orchard. And Maya said she could see herself getting married to Zac in the apple orchard, which obviously led to a smooching session.
Zac later told producers, “Things are going very, very well with Maya. Feeling some good feelings.” So I think it’s clear who the frontrunner is for Zac’s heart.
Meanwhile, Dylan took Keeley horse riding for their solo date. And I spoke too soon, as after their ride, the two went for a picnic.
During their picnic (which honestly must be like the 50th picnic this season), the two spoke at length about horses and the rodeo circuit, and Dylan ended up saying, “I’m glad my family picked ya. They think you’re pretty great and so do I.”
The sheep farmer then pointed out that there was a nice sunset happening. And he swiftly asked Keeley whether she wanted to kiss while the sun was romantically setting. Was it smooth? No. Did it work? Yes.
“I’ve learned in this experience that kissing can really unlock a spark and chemistry,” Dylan told producers, revealing his ulterior motives. He confessed he’s not sure there’s a spark with Keeley yet and that’s why he was desperate to kiss her.
Dylan and Keeley went back to the farm at this point, with Ally and Scarlette anxiously awaiting their return. Ally was quick to ask Keeley if she and Dylan kissed during their date, and she admitted they did. And, of course, both Ally and Scarlette were instantly upset.
Ally ended up crying in private while Scarlette told producers, “Dylan doesn’t have to kiss everyone. He’s not forced!”
Later that evening, Ally reached a boiling point. She packed up all her things and left the farm without saying goodbye to anyone. She did leave a note for Dylan, though; it read, “You know I’m not here to waste my time; I really want this. If you do too, I’m waiting with open arms.”
And as she hopped in the car, she told producers, “If Dylan wants me, he can come find me and fight for me.” My god, there’s been so much drama on the ‘younger’ farms this year. Next season, I hope Channel 7 only gets farmers and ladies over the age of 30.
As a nice interlude, we got to see the next morning on Zac’s farm. He, along with Maya, Grace and Mieke, went apple picking. Afterwards, Grace (knowing Zac and all the other farmers had to do an elimination that evening) pulled Zac aside and admitted that she could see them being together long term.
Back on Dylan’s farm, he got up super early to go and do horse stuff and had no idea that Ally was gone. Scarlette broke the news, and he was both shocked and upset.
“I’m not too keen on anyone leaving without letting me know why,” he said.
And when Dylan found Ally’s note, he told Scarlette and Keeley he needed some alone time to think about his next move. But really, he just ranted to producers:
“This is as high maintenance as it gets… Is this going to be the rest of my life? Chasing ya? I don’t want that.”
Ultimately, though, Dylan went after Ally. He drove to her hotel, and the two had a very frank discussion.
“If I’m dead honest, I’m pretty disappointed,” the sheep farmer began. He then made some pretty fair points – for instance, Ally told him right at the beginning of the FWAW experience that if an issue arose, she’d prefer to talk it out. But in this circumstance, she just ran away.
Dylan went on to say that he was now concerned that she’ll cut and run in the future every time things get hard. Ally apologised and said she wouldn’t run if things got tough. She said she only did this time because it’s not currently a monogamous relationship and her emotions are running wild.
At this, Dylan admitted, “I just can’t let you leave… I need you to know that I feel very strongly for you and I don’t want you to leave.”
But Ally didn’t return to the farm, so obviously no elimination took place. Over the ‘elimination’ dinner, he simply told Scarlette and Keeley that the ball was in Ally’s court regarding whether she returned or not, but he didn’t want to eliminate Scarlette or Keeley. Ooft. That’d personally make me feel like second fiddle, but that’s just me.
Over on Jason’s farm, Kimberley took Jason for a private chat before the elimination.
“There’s feelings there, but it’s hard to display those feelings when there are other women around,” she said with tears in her eyes.
Kimberley went on to say that she was worried Jason hadn’t had enough alone time with her to know that they’d be good together. She then asked why Jason had let Poppy stay so long, considering she doesn’t want children and he does. Jason was very respectful in my opinion and replied that that was something for him and Poppy to discuss.
And ultimately, Jason sent Kimberley home. She was devastated, and as she left, she said through shaky tears, “I’m sorry I didn’t live up to your expectations.”
On Zac’s farm, Mieke pulled him for a ‘chat’ just before the elimination.
But she had actually romantically set up a fire pit and basket of homemade ANZAC biscuits for Zac. It was very sweet! Especially when she confessed that she’s shy and is disappointed that she hasn’t been as forward as she should’ve been. Essentially, this was her last-ditch effort to impress Zac.
And it worked. “I’m so chuffed to see Mieke putting in this effort,” he gushed to producers.
When the two returned to the dinner table, Zac had the basket of biscuits with him, and Maya was instantly on alert. “What have you got there?” she asked with a slight hint of panic in her voice.
And then when Zac left the room to “have a think,” she immediately turned to Mieke and said (rather accusingly in my opinion), “Cookies?!”
When Zac came back from his ‘think,’ he revealed that he wants all three women to stay. Grace and Mieke started laughing in relief, but the expression on Maya’s face made me laugh. It was clear – at least to me – that she was NOT happy.
“It’s a kick in the guts to know he can see a future with Grace and Mieke too. It’s definitely thrown a curveball,” she later vented to producers.
And finally, over on Jarrad’s farm, he asked Carly for a chat before the elimination dinner. He immediately started tearing up and said very gently that while she’s amazing, he has formed stronger connections with other women on the farm and, therefore, had to send her home.
I really respected that Jarrad had this conversation in private rather than at the dinner table. And it was nice to see that he was visibly upset at having to hurt Carly. Where has THIS Jarrad been all season?! I finally like him!
After helping Carly pack her things and sending her on her way, Jarrad returned to the dinner table.
He then sent Christina home as well… But very bluntly and in front of everyone. Well, I’m back to not liking Jarrad. Ah well, easy come, easy go.
