If there’s a celebrity you can trust to win a costume competition, it’s Heidi Klum.
Heidi is a German-American supermodel. She’s graced the cover of countless magazines, including the famous 1998 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, strutted several runways and fronted numerous fashion and beauty campaigns. But in recent years, she’s better known for her iconic Hallowe’en costumes.
From bringing the glitz and glamour to the runway as a Victoria Secret Angel, to completely transforming with her larger-than-life costumes at her annual Hallowe’en party, Heidi Klum is a celebrity who can truly do both.

The 2026 Met Gala theme was ‘Costume Art”. And it seems Heidi Klum took the theme literally!
Dressed as a living sculpture, Heidi stole the show. Her costume deceivingly appeared to be made of white marble. Her resemblance to Roman sculpture was uncanny. It was as if she had stepped out of a museum.
Her look was inspired by an 1847 sculpture by Raffaelle Monti, The Veiled Lady. The sculpture is famous for the veil’s translucent appearance, despite being chipped out of stone.

While Heidi’s The Veiled Lady interpretation is impressive, it’s surprisingly tame in comparison to some of her other costumes. After hosting 24 Annual Hallowe’en parties over the years, she’s got a large portfolio of work.
Below, we take a look back through the archives at her most fabulous costumes to date.
Medusa
Starting off strong, in 2025, Heidi went for a Hallowe’en costume inspired by Greek Mythology.
The supermodel’s Medusa costume was a modern re-imagining of the ancient monster: complete with moving snakes and a forked tongue. Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, also got in on the outfit theme, dressing as a soldier turned to stone.
E.T.
In 2024, the supermodel called back to a nostalgic favourite: E.T.
Furthermore, Heidi and her husband Tom’s alien costumes took the work of 30 special effects artists to bring to life.
Peacock
Fabulous multiplied! With Heidi dressed as a peacock, dancers joined her on the carpet of her 22nd Annual Hallowe’en Party to create a clever allusion to a peacock fanning out its tail feathers.
As if it wasn’t already camp enough, Heidi’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, joined her on the carpet dressed as a massive peacock egg. Now that’s a soulmate.

Worm
It took two years of brainstorming before Heidi and her team brought her creepy crawly concept to life in 2022. She worked with her tried and tested makeup artist, Mike Marino.
“I called him and said, ‘Make me a worm,’” said the supermodel.
The result? A hyper-realistic, full-body worm outfit. It fully constricted Heidi’s arms, making it difficult to move in. However, it’s one of her most famous Hallowe’en costumes to date.
Jessica Rabbit
In 2015, Heidi brought the cartoon icon, Jessica Rabbit, to life. Working again with her makeup artist, Mike Marino, they emphasised the character’s…features through the use of prosthetics.
Princess Fiona
At her 19th Annual Halloween Party, Heidi dressed up as Princess Fiona from Shrek in her ogre form!
“Thriller” Werewolf
Extra points for commitment to performance here! In 2017, Heidi Klum dressed up as the werewolf from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video.
Eve’s Apple
Heidi Klum’s 7th Annual Halloween Party saw her dress up as a snake wrapped around an apple. Her costume alluded to the Biblical scene of Adam and Eve’s banishment from the Garden of Eden.
A clever Hallowe’en play, and also a clever way to conceal the star’s pregnancy!
