Oprah Winfrey wore an entirely Australian-designed wardrobe during her recent speaking tour Down Under, in an enormous endorsement of the local fashion industry.
The US star showcased a range of Australia’s best womenswear during her visit, including a cream blouse and pant set by Zimmermann, which she dubbed “my new favourite look”, as well as a series of black, white and green tailored looks by Carla Zampatti, Scanlan Theodore and Manning Cartell. Her accessories included Autore pearls, and she even wore Akubra hats and the activewear brand P.E. Nation for her daily hikes, all of which she regularly documented to her millions of followers on social media.
Oprah’s wardrobe was carefully curated by her LA-based Australian stylist Annabelle Harron, who has worked with the talk queen for the past decade and is responsible for transforming her look to a more modern aesthetic.
“When Annabelle suggested we go with all Australian designers for my trip Down Under, I was delighted to see what fun and wearable looks she put together,” Oprah told The Weekly. “Every outfit brought me comfort and confidence. It was, as the Aussies say, pure ‘pleasure’!”

Annabelle, whose clients have included Cindy Crawford, Salma Hayek, Patricia Arquette, Elizabeth Debicki and her best friend Teresa Palmer, said she was excited to showcase homegrown brands on her most famous client.
“As an Australian, I am always excited to support Aussie designers,” Annabelle told The Weekly. “Zimmermann is a brand that I love and grew up admiring, and it’s a label I choose often for Ms Winfrey and all my clients as they have impeccable tailoring and a range of silhouettes that work for all women. As Ms Winfrey loves pearls, Autore was an undeniable choice for jewellery. Scanlan Theodore, Carla Zampatti and Manning Cartell all had wonderful tailored pieces that worked well for the conversational nature of this speaking tour.”
Oprah toured four cities around Australia in conversation with Melissa Doyle during her tour, which was her first visit in 15 years since her Ultimate Australian Adventure, which included filming two blockbuster episodes of the iconic The Oprah Winfrey Show at the Sydney Opera House.
An endorsement by Oprah – who has over 22.4 million followers on Instagram – is a boon to any brand. During her 2010 tour, Oprah donned a series of Camilla kaftans, helping the Sydney based-designer gain even more global publicity.
Women’s Weekly Fashion Director Mattie Cronan said: “There’s nothing better than seeing an international celebrity wearing Australian designers on home soil. Oprah and Annabelle have put some of our best brands in the spotlight during her tour, including chic tailored looks on stage and modern activewear.”
Some of the designers she wore on her trip included Scanlan Theodore, RM Williams, Oroton, Lounge the Label, Akubra Hats, Kate and Kole Jewelry and PE Nation activewear for hiking.

Carla Zampatti

For her Melbourne show, Oprah wore this incredible Carla Zampatti outfit featuring an ivory Crepe Crop Jacket and black Crepe Petal Pant.
The pants bring an artistic flair to what would otherwise just be boring black pants. The petal-like folds and barrel-shaped design are very on trend and make a big impact. The pants were launched at Australia Fashion Week 2025.

Contrasting the black pants is the cropped jacket in ivory. It redefines classic silhouettes with a modern edge, combining shoulder pants and an angular collar.
