However, they didn’t speak or cross paths again until 2005 – when Lleyton reached out to Bec via text message.

That text ultimately led to a date and after just six weeks together, Lleyton proposed to Bec… Despite the whirlwind of it all, she said yes.

Where do the Hewitts live now?

After previously residing in the Bahamas, Melbourne and Sydney, Bec and Lleyton now live in Glenhaven — about 20 minutes from Sydney’s CBD.

One of the Hewitt’s properties was recently snapped up by a “mysterious buyer”. The Palm Springs-inspired abode in Burleigh Heads went under contract mere days after it was listed. This was following an auction day which saw more curious onlookers as opposed to potential buyers. There’s no word on how much it was sold for but the golden couple purchased the property for $4.3 million in 2021 and prices have reportedly risen 34.7 per cent since then.

The couple sold their holiday home as they rarely had time to enjoy it.
