How to use an Oodie discount code

  1. Choose one of the tested and verified deals here and click on it to get the discount code and/or offer details.
  2. Shop on The Oodie – you’ll even find a new window that takes you straight to the relevant section for your code or deal.
  3. Go to the checkout when you’re ready and you’ll find a ‘Discount code or gift card’ field in the order summary where you can put your code and click ‘Apply’. Your code will be added and your order total will be updated with the valid deal.
Our screenshot highlights where to apply your Oodie discount code at checkout on mobile.

Note: You might need to scroll a bit to find the discount code field on your mobile phone, but it’s right before the ‘Pay Now’ button. You can also find it in the “Order Summary” dropdown at the top of the screen. Or, on desktop, the discount code field is on the right side.

Your guide to The Oodie discount codes and deals with The Australian Women’s Weekly

When it comes to sleepwear and cosy days at home, The Oodie have become a staple for many of us, with comfy designs, pop culture prints, cosy signature fabric and weighted blankets that feel like you’re wrapped in a hug. Now, we’ve secured an exclusive discount code with The Oodie, giving you 15% off selected full-price items when you spend over $110.

The Australian Women’s Weekly also has a Deals Team with years of experience finding the best discount codes, sales and other promotions that can help make your money go further. Our hands-on approach includes working directly with partners, checking in with trusted sources and actively keeping an eye on The Oodie – including on website, where we test each discount code and read the fine print. We also remove expired deals. So it’s easy for you to see savings you can actually get.

“The Oodie is a favourite for cosy sleepwear, blankets and accessories. The fun prints and frequent deals offer great value – but if what you want is full price you can now save with The Weekly’s exclusive 15% discount code.”

Five more ways to score savings with The Oodie

  1. Subscribe to the newsletter: You get a 15% discount when you sign up for The Oodie’s newsletter. It’s a simple way to save on your first purchase and means you’ll be the first to hear about the latest Oodie releases, sales and more.
  2. Shop the sales: The Oodie has sales throughout the year, which can deliver big savings. For example, there was a sale for 50% off select licensed styles when I was updating this, including for Beetlejuice, Harry Potter and Scrabble and UNO.
  3. Check out the clearance section: You can save big on The Oodie clearance items – there were plenty of items discounted by 50% when I was updating this article. In fact, there was nothing over $59 when I filtered by highest price. Just keep in mind that stock could be limited and sell out quickly, especially at these prices.
  4. Shop on Amazon: The Oodie website has the biggest range of Oodies and other items, but they are also on Amazon Australia so you may be able to get a deal there. But it’s worth noting that when I checked, there were hardly any Oodie available. So I’d probably check the official website first and keep Amazon in mind for sales like Prime Day.
  5. Become an Oodie Ambassador: If you’ve got a nice following on social media, you could get store credits, gifts and other perks as an Oodie Ambassador.

The Oodie FAQs: Discounts, deals and more

Can I use multiple discount codes on a single order with The Oodie?

Unfortunately, you can only use one code per order, which is pretty standard for most online stores.

How do I know if The Oodie code is valid?

The discount will show up in your order summary after you click apply. But if that doesn’t happen, check that the code is correct and that it can be applied to what you’re buying. The Oodie actually says that “some codes will only work for specific products like Oodies or Sleep Tees”. You’ll find key details like this when you click on any of The Weekly’s tested discount codes.

What if there’s no discount code?

The Oodie also has promotions and discounts that don’t require a code. These are automatically applied at the checkout. To save you time wondering, we only list a code when one is need. And when we’ve personally tested it.

Does The Oodie have a student discount?

If you’re a student, you could save 15% through UNiDAYs. You can create a free account and access codes and other deals once your student status is verified. But because I’m not a student, I couldn’t read the terms and conditions for this offer. So I recommend checking that when you’re logged in to make sure the deal is active and applies to what you want to buy. The Oodie also previously offered $35 off classic Oodies and sleep tees via Student Edge. So if you’re a member of a student benefit program, you can always check to see if there are any available offers.

When are the best Oodie sales?

We’ve spotted some big Oodie discounts and deals during peak shopping periods like Black Friday/Cyber Monday, Boxing Day and EOFY.

But you can also save when The Oodie has its own sales and promotions. For example, Oodie had a “spend and save” deal running at the time of writing, which offered a 20% discount if you bought two items and 30% off if you bought three, for select products on the site. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for all the latest deals, so you can always check back here to save time hunting for a bargain.

Does The Oodie have free shipping?

Yes, you’ll get free standard shipping in Australia when you spend at least $100 with The Oodie.

When you add something to your cart, you’ll also get details of how close you are to unlocking free shipping. But if you don’t quite get there, you can check the delivery cost at the checkout. To give you an idea, standard shipping was $9.99 when we checked addresses in Sydney, Adelaide, WA and regional NSW.

Can I return an Oodie?

The Oodie returns policy gives you 30 days from the date you receive your order to make a return for free. Just keep in mind that  the item has to be “as new”, which basically means it needs to be in its original packaging with all tags and other features still attached.

You also need to take a photo of it before returning it so The Oodie “can assess the condition” – something we haven’t seen very often for online returns (but it does make sense).

So if you’ve got something, just tried it on and decided you don’t want it, that’s probably fine. But if you’ve worn, washed or taken tags off, you might want to contact support through the app. You can also check out The Oodie’s return policy for full details.

The Oodie’s origin story

From high school side hustles to a $600 million empire, Davie Fogarty’s journey to founding The Oodie is as cosy as the product itself. Growing up in Adelaide, Davie got a taste for entrepreneurship during his primary school years.

“I would jump the fence at midday, bake cookies, then come back to school at the end of the day and try and sell them to teachers,” Fogarty said in an interview with Forbes Australia.

“I always wanted to be rich,” he added. And things started heading in that direction quickly after he launched The Oodie in 2018. This oversized, wearable blanket quickly became a viral sensation, with over 8 million of them sold to date.

Davie’s continued to grow The Oodie, alongside other businesses he’s founded. He was also the youngest investor on Shark Tank Australia (when he was aged just 30).
