Anzac Day is right around the corner, and with dawn services and events happening across Anzac Day and the weekend, many may be wondering what the weather is going to be.
As we’re at the start of the autumn season, the weather can be temperamental. In recent weeks, snow fell in Tasmania, temperatures dropped in Sydney, but heatwaves were felt in WA.
For NSW, ACT, and WA, the Monday following Anzac Day is also a public holiday. The government and veterans have encouraged Australians to be mindful of their activities on the day as it is a solemn day to commemorate all those who served our country in all conflicts, wars and peace operations since 1914, even service animals.

So, we’ve done the heavy lifting and scoured various weather reports from the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), WillyWeather, Weatherzone and more to create what we think could be the most accurate weather forecasts for the capital cities over the Anzac weekend. However, caveat we aren’t meteorologists, weather can be fickle, especially in autumn, so be sure to pack sunscreen and an umbrella just in case.
