“That people have enjoyed it, and want to congratulate you for it. It’s fantastic.”
Celeste Barber

We love a white gown moment on the red carpet. Styled by our own Mattie Cronan, our November 2025 cover star looked glamourous and sophisticated without losing her playful side.
“This is going to be so fun,” said Celeste before the AACTAs. “I’m so bloody excited to celebrate the biggest Australian TV and films of the year.”

We love a bow moment! Susie Porter is up for two nominations tonight. Apple Cider Vinegar has taken out most of the nominations, but The Travellers film is also up for Best Film!
When speaking to The Weekly at the film’s red carpet premiere in Sydney, Susie shared that while The Travellers has “dark themes, it’s actually really funny.”
“It’s a really relatable issue that people of a certain age, if they are lucky enough to have their parents, have to negotiate that last stage [of life] and the siblings go on [to] delegate what needs to be done,” she reflected at the time.

This drapey purple gown is ethereal and dreamy. Perfect for the new leading lady in a globally adored TV show.
Australia’s own Yerin Ha is the leading lady in Bridgerton’s season four as Sophie Baek. Aead of the new season, The Weekly sat down with Yerin and her co-star Luke Thompson. To read, click here.
Dena Amy
South African born Australian actress, dancer, singer and DJ, Dena Amy stunned in this lime green floral gown. It was a perfect choice for the humid day in the Gold Coast!
Dena is also taking part in a Dance Academy Reunion during the AACTA Awards Festival.
Tim Robards
The original Australian Bachelor graced the red carpet of the AACTA Awards! He looked extra daper in a white suit, he’s just missing the rose in his lapel…
Angela Bishop
Channel 10’s Entertainment Reporter kept the celebs in order while managing the report of the red carpet. Her statement necklace added an extra touch of glamour to her look.
Courtney Act
Arguably the best (and honestly most practical) look of the night goes to the fabulous Courtney Act. The media personality wore a bright pink dress accessorised with a matching fan (paramount for the humidity) and the diamonds on her face with the perfect final touch.
Mark Coles Smith
Nomination: for Best Lead Actor in a Drama (Mystery Road Origin), Best Supporting Actor in a Drama (Apple Cider Vinegar)
We love this brown velvet suit from Mark Coles Smith, but even he questioned his material choice:
It’s my first time doing the AACTAS in the Gold Cost which is a really interesting location to wear velvet in,” he said to The Weekly on the red carpet. “I’m braving the velvet. But, I feel good.”
Mark is up for two nods tonight: Best Lead Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Also, the documentary series he hosted, The Kimberley, is up for Best Documentary or Factual Program.
We spoke to Mark about that documentary, which you can read here.
Phoebe Tonkin
Nomination: Favourite Australian Actress (Audience Choice)
Phoebe Tonkin was in her element on the AACTA red carpet in this deep blue look. It honestly evoked memories of H20: Just Add Water…
Phoebe is nominated for Favourite Australian Actress in the Audience Choice Awards.
Delta Goodrem
Australia’s favourite singer, Delta Goodrem looked effortlessly cool (despite the humidity) in this black striped suit and loose ponytail.
Will she be singing tonight….?

Nomination: Best Acting in a Comedy (Bump) Best Narrative Comedy Series (Bump)
Co-stars Claudia Karvan and Angus Sampson are both up for the Best Acting in a Comedy Award for their performances in Bump.
While Angus when dak with an all black suit, Claudia was the perfect contrast in a kalediescope of colour on her dress.
Luke & Scott O’Halloran
Brothers and comedy duo Luke and Scott O’Halloran brought good vibes, great energy, and that stunning checked blazer to the AACTAs red carpet.
Bryan Brown and Rachel Ward
Nomination: Best Lead Actor in Film (Travellers)
The award for coolest couple goes to Bryan Brown and Rachel Ward. The couple have been together for over 40 years and are still going strong, a true love story!
We love Rachel’s ensemble. Her silk tunic dress (with pockets!) with effortlessly glam and looked perfect for the humid weather. But her peachy-pink shoes were an excellent addition.
Rachel was recently the subject of a torrent of abuse online simply for ageing. We spoke to Rachel about the trolls and her response was as cool as we’d expect: “It doesn’t touch me.”
