Their former co-star, Lynne McGranger, sent her congratulations their announcement: “Oh my heart!! So thrilled for both of you!!” she wrote on the post. “Of course Jimmy proposed and you said yes!!! on Valentines Day!! Excellent news!! Wishing you guys every happiness always.”

Ada plays Leah Patterson-Baker, and James plays Justin Morgan. Leah has been part of Summer Bay since 2000, and James’s charactger joined the show in 2016. Their character’s on-screen romance has had its ups and downs, but it culminated in a wedding storyline that aired in 2024.
It wasn’t her character’s first wedding. Leah first married Vinnie, the father of VJ in the show. She went on to marry Dan, the brother of her character’s ex-partner Peter, he sadly died in an absailing accident. Leah went on to marry schoolteacher Zac, but their relationship eventually gell apart. Finally, her character met and fell in love with Justin; overcoming her past trauma and his painkiller addiction and married in 2024.
When did Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart get together in real life?
While they had known each other for more than 25 years, their romance didn’t develop until 2024, after years of friendship and working together.
There was months of speculation that their relatioship had evolved romanctically, after they were seen on a date around Anzac Day 2024. In July of that year, Ada confirmed to Stellar magazine that she was in a relationship with her on-screen partner and they celebrated their first anniversary in April 2025.
They currently have a beautiful blended family.
Has Ada Nicodemou been married before?
Yes. She married businessman Chrys Xipolitas in 2007. They separated in 2010, but reconciled soon adter.
They welcomed their son in 2012 and later experienced the devastating loss of a second baby in March 2014. The couple separated in 2015 after nearly a decade of marriage.
After that relationship, she went on to date businessman Adam Rigby from 2016 until late 2023 before beginning her relationship with James the following year.
Who is James Stewart’s ex-wife?
