The winner of Dancing with the Stars 2024 may have already leaked…
How? Well, for years fans of reality shows have turned to scrutinising the odds on gambling platforms such as Sportsbet and TAB to try and deduce the winners ahead of the show’s respective finale.
For instance, fans used betting odds to correctly predict the 2024 winner of MasterChef – all season long Nat Thaipun had the most favourable odds and she did indeed win.
Betting odds also predicted the 2024 ‘winners’ of Farmer Wants A Wife; Sportsbet favoured Farmer Dustin choosing Sophie, Farmer Joe choosing Sarah, Farmer Tom choosing Sarah C and Farmer Dean choosing Teegan – all correct.
Plus, Farmer Bert was tipped to leave Farmer Wants A Wife without a relationship which is exactly what he ended up doing…
So when it comes to Dancing with the Stars, who will take home the mirrorball trophy according to the odds?
Currently, Lisa McCune is the frontrunner on Sportsbet with odds of $2.25.
So far, Lisa has topped the leaderboard each episode she’s performed in, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if the actress won Dancing with the Stars this year.
Just behind Lisa is Samantha Jade with odds of $2.62; Sam’s also consistently topped the leaderboard throughout Dancing with the Stars.
Nikki Osbourne and Ant Middleton are in third and fourth place, with respective odds of $3.00 and $5.00.
Next, with odds of $7.50, is James Stewart.
Underdogs, Shane Crawford, Adam Dovile and Ben Cousins carried respective odds of $15.00, $17.00 and $26.00 before they were all eliminated in the Semi Finale.
As the odds went live after Julie Goodwin, Nova Peris, Hayden Quinn and Nadia Bartel were eliminated, they obviously received no odds at all.
It may go without saying but you need to take these betting odds with a grain of salt – Sportsbet favoured Frankie Muniz to win this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but he left halfway through the season.
Instead, Skye Wheatley won the reality show even though she had incredibly high odds ($6.00).
Therefore, only time will truly tell who wins Dancing with the Stars this year.
