Eloise Bridgerton has always vocally detested traditional expectations for women and courting men of the Ton, but even she can’t escape love.
Ever since we first met Eloise, played by Claudia Jessie, shouting “Daphne!” across the Bridgerton House, we knew she was going to be a loveable, oddball.

Her nose remained a book, often coming up for air to deliver a quick and witty remark. But in season two, Eloise made her debut into society, which really didn’t change a single thing about Eloise other than the height of her dress.
But with season four on the horizon, the second Bridgerton daughter is… on the shelf. In a teaser from Netflix, even Lady Whistledown warned Eloise of the challenges of living on “the fringes of society.”
It is unclear when Eloise’s spinster lifestyle will come to an end. But Claudia cannot wait to bring Eloise’s story to life.
“I love this show with my whole heart,” she confessed to The Weekly. “I love playing Eloise with my whole heart, so I’m buzzing. I’m really excited.”
“It does feel like I’ve agreed to jump out of a plane in a couple of years whenever the time comes for me.”
Season four certainly isn’t about Eloise, but instead, the storyline follows her favourite brother, Benedict, finding love. As any Bridgerton fan knows, the leading person always takes a step back from filming in the following seasons.

So, what will become of the siblings who equally loathe society functions?
“I don’t feel like that connection’s ever really going to go away, no matter what,” Claudia said confidently. “It might adapt and have new variations. But I think their relationship will be quite present… whatever the future holds.”
Who does Eloise Bridgerton end up with?
Eloise’s future husband was introduced to viewers back in season two. If you’re well-versed in Bridgerton history, you’ll remember Marina Thompson, who appeared as the unwed pregnant relative of the Featheringtons.
Her lover, Sir George Crane, died fighting overseas, and his brother, Sir Phillip Crane, stepped up to save her reputation. We only had a small glimpse of Sir Phillip Crane, but his soon-to-come love story with Eloise is quite complicated in the novels.

Some fans even disagree with Eloise’s ending…
In the novel, Marina struggles with mental health and later dies after trying to take her own life. Eloise sends Sir Phillip her condolences, and they quickly become pen pals.
Eventually, Phillip suggests that Eloise visit him to consider marriage. He believes it to be a practical arrangement and thinks Eloise is still on the shelf due to so few suitable suitors.
Which season will Eloise Bridgerton play the leading lady?
While Eloise’s novel, To Sir Phillip, With Love, is the fifth novel in Julia Quinn’s series, the Netflix team aren’t sticklers for keeping the order.
Currently, there is no word on who will lead season five. However, there is typically a teaser at the prior season’s finale.
