Former Home and Away actress Melissa George has quietly welcomed her fourth child at 49.
The surprise announcement was made on Instagram, with a photo of Melissa breastfeeding her newborn. However, it wasn’t Melissa who broke the news.
Announcing the news in a joint Instagram post with Melissa, was former Vogue Australia Editor-in-Chief Kirstie Clements who praised the Australian actress alongside images from her trip through the French countryside.
“From the maternity ward, straight into a Parisian heatwave (with a toddler… challenging) and now to an epic road trip through Provence and the Cǒte d’Azur , first stop @hotelcrillonlebrave,” Kirstie wrote.
Unfortunately, little details of the new bub were revealed – including the baby’s name. However, we do believe the latest addition is a baby boy given her Instagram bio now reads, “Mum to my 4 sons.”
Melissa shares two boys: Raphael, 12, and Solal, 11, with her ex-partner, Jean-David Blanc, a French entrepreneur.
In 2024, the notoriously private star welcomed another boy, Lyor. Albeit not as quietly as her fourth baby, but she announced Lyor’s birth with a humble black and white image of his feet.
“Welcome to the world my little man,” she wrote in March 2024. “Love knows no end. A mother of 3 sons. Cannot believe it. My heart is so full.”

Despite her value on privacy, she has opened up about raising boys during an interview with Stellar – just weeks before her fourth baby announcement.
“I’ve never been a real feminist. I don’t fight for it. I just stand as an elegant woman, and that speaks enough,” she said.
“I don’t compete, I just act with love. I want [my sons] to have good memories of a female figure in their life. I want them to have tummies full with the best food. I want them to respect women, of course, but respect men, too.”
However, the father of Lyor and her newborn are unknown. But Melissa is now based in France, living a very beautiful and romantic lifestyle.
She did return to the Southern Hemisphere in late 2025 to film dark comedy, Ms X in New Zealand. The six-part series follows a suburban mum who gets caught up in Auckland’s criminal underground.
