Where can I watch the SAG Awards 2025?
Australians can watch the SAG Awards live on Netflix.
The red carpet coverage will be available on the streaming platform from 11am AEDT on February 24.
The ceremony will be streamed live from 12pm AEDT.
What is the date of the SAG Awards?
This year’s SAG Awards are set to kick off in LA on Sunday, February 23 at 8pm ET.
But for Australians, this means the awards ceremony will start at 12pm AEDT on Monday, February 24.
Where are the SAG Awards in 2025?
The awards ceremony will be held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, located in Los Angeles.
Who is hosting the SAG Awards 2025?
In December 2024, it was confirmed that Kristen Bell — best known for Veronica Mars, The Good Place and, most recently, Nobody Wants This — would host the 2025 SAG Awards.
However, when the devastating wildfires broke out in LA earlier this year, Kristen initially wanted the SAG Awards to be cancelled altogether.
Despite this, Kristen recently had a change of heart, telling USA Today:
“I realised these awards shows are a huge part of Los Angeles’ economy, employing hundreds, if not thousands, of gig workers: drivers, hair and makeup artists, musicians. It’s actually paramount we have them so these people can work.
“At first, it felt superfluous to have an awards show. Then I thought, I know so many people who lost homes in the fire. All they’re begging for is a night of normalcy and funny laughs. I felt like we could give them both.”
What does SAG stand for?
As aforementioned, SAG stands for Screen Actors Guild.
The Screen Actors Guild (often shortened to SAG) is a union that represents film and also television actors, and advocates for fair wages, working conditions, and benefits in the entertainment industry.
Furthermore, the SAG Awards annually honour outstanding performances in film and television.
