After many years of presenting on television, respected journalist and former Project host, Sarah Harris is lending her voice to radio as part of Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell’s segment.
Sarah, 44, will join the Nova breakfast show as the resident newsreader when the show launches on Monday February 9, 2026. The segment has replaced Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie following it’s recent axing.
In a statement confirming her latest career move, the Sydney-born journalist couldn’t contain her excitment.
“This is a massive pinch me moment! There’s something hugely intimate and authentic about radio and I’m so pumped to be waking up with Ricki-Lee and Tim,” she said.
“I’ve been in the TV news game my whole career and I love that I’m getting the chance to deliver it on Nova 96.9…and without spending an hour in the hair and makeup chair!”

Sarah continued to gushed over her soon-to-be co-stars, Rickie-Lee and Tim, noting she has been a “genuine fan” of the Australian personalities for years.
“Tim’s the ultimate music expert who knows all the cool bands and Ricki-Lee is our down-to-earth pop diva that every girl wants to be best friends with – just don’t take her on in a game of Quick Draw! They’re both absolute stars at what they do and have such a great energy together. I’m really excited to join them and be part of a team of Sydneysiders who truly love this city,” Sarah said.
The Australian Idol star and Tim have been working closely together for many years having been a trio with Joel Creasey, who is walking away to host his own radio program The Joel Creasey Show, set to launch in April.
Touching on Sarah’s new gig, Ricki-Lee revealed she “couldn’t be more excited” to welcome her to the team.
“We are so incredibly lucky to have her,” she shared on Instagram.
