The ‘bridesmaid’ curse on Emma and Ben has been broken! Not only did they win this week’s challenge, but they also scored two perfect 10’s which means they won $20,000. In total, House 1 took home $30,000.

Shaynna’s jaw dropped as soon as she entered, taking in the kitchenette and the stunning colour palette. Even Darren admitted it would be difficult to leave the beautiful space.

All the judges loved the bedhead, the layout and all the storage in the wardrobe.

Marty praised the bathroom, noting the “sprinkles” of Emma and Ben’s magic.

Emma and Ben spent $35,399 and scored 29.5 points.

Han & Can

Despite their best efforts, Han and Can didn’t complete this week’s challenge after some challenges with the bathroom.

The judges commented positively on the voice-automated blinds, the “punchy” colour, and the hidden TV. However, there were some negatives.

Shaynna didn’t love the cramped desk area, stating the makeup area should have been in its stead rather than near the bathroom.

Marty also said the lack of kitchenette could impact their sale.

House 2 spent $38,787 and scored 24 points.

Britt & Taz

Also presenting a room uncompleted were Britt and Taz. Shaynna’s jaw was on the floor upon there was absolutely nothing in the bathroom.

The judges also questioned the stained wood panels. Sadly, Marty said the room felt “way too rustic” compared to the rest of the house.

But there were some positives! The kitchenette was a huge win in Darren’s eyes as it had all the necessities including a fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle. They also admired the dramatic colour, bedside tables and the carpet.

Britt and Tax spent $33,804 and scored 19 points, making them this week’s chumps.

Sonny & Alicia

House 4 were absolutely obsessed with their room, and so were the judges! Admiring the colour drenching, ceiling, and the wallpaper – Shaynna even thinks Alicia’s wallpaper design should be for sale!

While there was no kitchenette, there were some amenities.

The bathroom received even more praise as the judges commented on the walnut basin, tiling and the painted wall.

Sonny and Alicia spent $31,077 and scored 28.5 points.

Robby & Mat

The third uncompleted room this week belonged to Robby and Mat. It was a disappointment to the judges, who were very thrilled to see their bathroom given their previous room reveals. However, they understood delivering two rooms must have been difficult given three out of five houses didn’t complete.

Alas, the bedroom received a lot of love! The judges were in complete awe of the hand painted wall behind the bed frame.

Marty did say the room lacked “the suite element” with no kitchenette.

Robby and Mat scored 20.5 points and spent $33,374.
