Blake Lively and Britney Spears
For the premiere of her film It Ends With Us, held in New York City in August 2024, Blake Lively wore a gorgeous vintage Versace dress adorned with sequin flowers and butterflies.
From the fashion house’s ready-to-wear autumn/winter ’02/’03 collection, the dress was originally made famous by Britney Spears when she sat front row at the runway in 2002.
“It is Britney’s actual dress,” Blake told Vogue while on the It Ends With Us red carpet.
“It should be in the Smithsonian or the Met. But it’s on me. I feel so lucky!”
The actress later took to Instagram and wrote, “Today’s mood. The ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkle and write and share our stories.
“Britney, us millennials all have a story of a moment, or of years that you made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength, and joy and immensely hard work.
“Thank you for your example and your contribution to women telling their stories.”

Princess Alexandra of Hanover and Princess Caroline of Monaco
When Princess Alexandra attended the Chanel Spring/Summer 2024 couture show in January 2024, she wore a vintage Chanel minidress.
Her mother, Princess Caroline wore the exact same dress back in 1990.

Beyoncé and Lupita Nyong’o
For the premiere of the 2017 live action version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Beyoncé wore a gorgeous emerald green gown from Gucci.
Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o wore the same dress two years earlier at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Princess Catherine and Drew Barrymore
During her and Prince William’s official tour of India & Bhutan in 2016, the then-Duchess Catherine wore this colourful Tory Burch dress.
And in a strange coincidence, on the same night, Drew Barrymore attended the ASPCA 19th Annual Bergh Ball in the same outfit.

Claire Danes and Victoria Beckham
In 2015, Claire Danes wore this pink wrap dress from Victoria Beckham’s collection for her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Victoria herself wore the dress a few days later.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Princess Catherine
In 2006, Sarah Jessica Parker wore this navy Alexander McQueen dress to the ceremony held in honour of her husband Matthew Broderick getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
5 years later, in 2011, Catherine wore the same dress (but in white) during an official royal visit to Canada.

Cameron Diaz and Miranda Kerr
Roland Mouret’s Galaxy dress was beloved by celebrities in the early 2000s and 2010s.
Cameron Diaz wore it to the premiere of In Her Shoes in 2005 while Miranda Kerr wore it to the premiere of The Good Doctor in 2011.
Not to mention Victoria Beckham, Dita Von Teese, Naomi Watts, Scarlett Johansson and Halle Berry were all spotted wearing the Galaxy dress during this time period too.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver
At the You Again premiere in 2010, in a nod to their characters in the film (who constantly try to outdo each other), Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver hilariously wore the same David Meister dress.
