If you watched this year’s season of The Block, you’ll know it was more like a soap opera than a renovation show.
First of all, Jesse and Paige sensationally quit halfway through the season and had to be replaced by new contestants, Maddy and Charlotte.
And then, there was the infamous flirting scandal…
Kylie overheard her husband Brad make a few “inappropriate comments” to Mimi.
In a rage, Kylie left The Block and flew back to her home in Cairns.
“I can’t be on national television having my marriage breaking down. So I’m going home, and I can’t say I’ll be returning,” Kylie said in a video she recorded for The Block producers.
However, just one episode later, she did return. Although Kylie made it clear that she was there to finish her and Brad’s house and make some money at the auction; nothing more.
“Whatever we get, even if it’s $10K, I’m taking f**king half of what you get and I’m leaving your arse… We’re officially single people,” Kylie told Brad.
But Kylie’s desire to make it to auction was smashed to smithereens by the judges during the penultimate room reveal.
Shaynna Blaze, Marty Fox and Darren Palmer all critiqued Kylie and Brad’s front yard and facade rather harshly.
In response, Kylie said, “What a f**king joke,” and stormed out.
She then told Brad that she wanted to go home and never return, not even for the auction.
While the couple didn’t appear in the final episodes, they did return for the auction. They walked away with a profit of $650,000.

In late October, months after most of The Block was filmed, Courtney told the radio show Allan & Carly that Kylie and Brad were together.
“I have spoken to everyone since and Mimi and Kristian are in a good place and Kylie and Brad I’ve heard are also in a good place,” Courtney said.
“They’re very much still together. We saw them a couple of weeks ago for an event.”
Furthermore, Kylie and Brad were spotted at the Melbourne Cup on November 5, looking very much in love.
And on a special episode of A Current Affair, on November 7, Kylie and Brad confirmed to interviewer Seb Costello that they were still together.
“We’ve definitely learned some things along the way about just how much we can actually do, no matter what else has happened or gonna happen, we’re still here and we’re gonna keep going,” Brad said, his arm around Kylie’s shoulders.
In the final episode of The Block, which was filmed on November 9, Kylie and Brad appeared to be together.
But in late November, Kylie removed Brad’s name and the love heart emoji from her Instagram bio.
