After a powerful first season, Demi Moore’s oil industry drama Landman returned for a second season and the finale certainly sent fans wild.

It was yet another incredible win for writer and producer Taylor Sheridan, who is also the creator of the western drama, Yellowstone and its spin-off, 1923.

There was merely two months between Landman’s first season – which dropped in November 2024 and wrapped up in January 2025 – and the second season being renewed. But what about a third season?

Will there be a third season of Landman?

Yes, Landman will return for a third season, as confirmed by Paramount+.

As of writing, there is no news on the release date. But the first season premiered on November 17, 2024, with the second airing on November 16, 2025. Given this pattern, many are presuming the third season will also premiere in November.

What is the plot for Landman season two?

Set in West Texas, the series follows roughnecks and billionaires who all want a taste of the booming oil industry. In the Western drama, oil is reshaping the climate, economy and geopolitics. 

“In Season Two, as oil rises from the earth, so do secrets – and Tommy Norris’s breaking point may be closer than he realises,” a synopsis read. 

“Facing mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller, and the shadow of his kin, survival in West Texas isn’t noble – it’s brutal. And sooner or later something’s got to break.”
