From a young age, Jelena Dokic has faced adversity both on and off the tennis court.

In an episode of Australian Story in October 2025, Jelena revealed it was cathartic confessing all her secrets in the memoir.

“There was this massive freedom that came with that,” she said. “My voice, my life. I could reclaim it. This huge weight was lifted off my shoulders that I didn’t even know was there.”
