And the Easter Mattins Service at Windsor Castle is up there with the best of them when the religious occasion rolls around each year.

As with any royal event, it offers up a glorious spectacle of fashion, with members of the monarchy donning their Sunday best for the formal service — quite literally.

Princess Beatrice embraced classic elegance with a modern twist for Easter services in 2025. She wore a Beulah London crepe midi dress in a deep, bottle green — a long-time staple in her wardrobe. The dress features a button-down bodice, puffed shoulders, and a waist-defining belt, falling into a graceful full-length skirt.

She paired it with matching green satin block heels by Emilia Wickstead with delicate ankle straps that added a touch of vintage charm. A small black Chanel handbag with a chain handle lent a sleek, structured contrast, while a statement gold lace halo headpiece by Justine Bradley-Hill, complete with a black bow at the back, gave the look a regal flourish.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, 2025

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, each brought their signature style to Easter Mass at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

The Duchess of Edinburgh looked regal in a tailored plum double-breasted overcoat by Maison Alaïa, which flared stylishly at the hem and revealed a crisp white collared dress underneath. She accessorised with a rose-toned bespoke ‘Persephone’ fascinator by JT Millinery, a matching Bordeaux clutch by Sophie Habsburg, and glossy nude Jimmy Choo kitten heels.

In contrast, Sarah Ferguson opted for a chic monochrome ensemble, pairing a black dress with a Veronica Beard Darla cropped jacket in white. A black headband, gloves, and a Celine Teen Garance bag completed the polished look, along with Celine’s Alma Triomphe slingback heels.

The sisters-in-law by marriage (Sarah, once married to Prince Andrew, and Sophie, currently married to Prince Edward, both sons of Queen Elizabeth II) left the Easter services arm-in-arm as they chatted animatedly.

It was the first major public appearance of His Majesty since he announced his cancer diagnosis.

Queen Camilla chose to wear a deep emerald dress with a matching statement hat and a black cape, and heeled boots. She also wore an emerald and sapphire flower brooch once worn by Queen Mary, who bequeathed it to her granddaughter Queen Elizabeth II.

Green was the name of the game at the 2024 Easter services. Sarah Ferguson and Princess Anne also joined Queen Camilla with green ensembles on the day.

Both chose to re-wear items from their wardrobes. Sarah repeated a bright green Dolce & Gabbana coat, which she was spotted wearing at another event earlier in the year. She acessoriesd with a gold chain featuring a pearl drop which matched her pearl and flower-encrusted headband.

Whereas, the hardest working royal, chose to wear a lime green wool coat which she is frequently spotted wearing. She completed her look with tassle suede tan boots, tan leather gloves, brown suede cross-body bag and a green beret with black feathers.
