I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Australia fans have been through emotional whiplash in recent months. First, Robert Irwin got a new hosting gig in the US, prompting concerns he wouldn’t return; then Ten actually cancelled the show, but then Seven announced it would be taking on the show in 2027. But what does this mean for the hosts and the cast? Here’s what we know.

Rumours are currently swirling over who could take over from Julia Morris and Robert Irwin. Could Dr Chris Brown take up the mantle once again now that he is contracted to Seven? Will Julia join her beloved doctor in the South African jungle? We will have to wait and see.

However, before we can confirm who is going to be the host, we can at least confirm some of the cast rumours. Or at least disprove them.

As it’s the Seven Network, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that some of its own homegrown reality TV stars could appear on the show. So, that could be the farmers from Farmer Wants a Wife or the real houses of Real Housewives. How about if Dr Chris Brown returns not as a host, but as a contestant? Or if Ronan Keating, former Boyzone band member and current judge on The Voice, swaps the spinning chair for a camp bed?

Seven is also home to Home and Away. A massive get for the cast would be TV WEEK Gold Logie Winner Lynne McGranger, who was on that show for 30 years.

One person who was heavily rumoured to be joining was Sarah Harris. The journalist recently joined Ricki-Lee & Tim on Nova 96.9 Breakfast as its resident newsreader following the cancellation of Channel 10’s The Project.

“I’ve been approached a couple of times [to do I’m A Celebrity],” she told Tim and Ricki-Lee on the show as they read Woman’s Day‘s list of rumoured cast mates, which included Sarah.

“I’ve got to tell you something guys… You ready for this?” Sarah teased.

“You can’t ditch us for the jungle!” Ricki-Lee pleaded.

“I am not doing I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! You heard it from these lips. I just wouldn’t do it,” she confirmed. “[I’d do it] If I had a fridge with some DCs [Diet Cokes].”

We’ve seen some contraband coffee, sugar, and salt, but Diet Cokes would be a new one. So Sarah Harris is definitely out.
