It was another challenging week on the Channel Nine renovation series, yet perhaps one of the best as Emma and Ben revealed they were expecting their first child together.

“We got some pretty big news. We’re having a baby,” a cheerful Emma revealed.

Everyone in the Block family we’re overjoyed by the news, embracing the soon parents to be while host Scotty Cam even suggested a name: “Scotty!”

Meanwhile House 2 and House 4 began a subtle feud after Han and Can were discovered using the same heated seating plan as Sonny and Alicia for the Hepburn Spa Challenge.

But with another week done and dusted, below are all The Block Living and Dining room reveals.

Emma & Ben

Unfortunately, the judges were underwhelmed by Emma and Ben’s living and dining space.

All the judges agreed that the room lacked that ‘wow’ factor and the layout was completely wrong given the couch wasn’t facing the beautiful windows.

This was the first miss for the lovebirds. Overall, House 1 spent $22,269 and scored 22 points.

Han & Can

The judges were pleasantly shocked when walking into Han and Can’s room, believing their style has matured more over the weeks.

However, judge Shaynna Blaze did say they “missed the mark” when they didn’t include local wine in the cabinet.

Overall, House 2 spent $32, 412 and scored 27.5 points.

Britt & Taz

Britt and Taz smashed this week! Absolutely no one expected to see wood panelling on the roof, or putting the floor on the ceiling as Taz would describe it.

The room would have scored a perfect 10 for Shaynna, but it’s only downside was the layout as the couch had its back to the window.

House 3 spent $33, 585 and scored 28.5 points.

Sonny & Alicia

After a challenging week for Sonny and Alicia, they were hoping to put their best foot forward this week. But this was undoubtedly there toughest results yet.

Despite being the same square metre as the other houses, Sonny and Alicia’s space felt substantially smaller. Marty measured the living space as 3 metres, which is the space of a small apartment.

“They have really, really stuffed this room up,” Marty said.

House 4 spent $19,999 – just $1 under the budget which means they won the Comm Bank $10,000 again – and scored 20.5 points.

Robby & Mat

Robby and Mat’s winning streak continues! Marty was absolutely speechless walking to the living and dining space, saying the could market this home as “the most livable house on the Block.”
