Inspired by her daughter’s journey on The Bachelor back in 2019 where she was vying for Matt Agnew, Laura is taking her own leap of faith.

Who is Abbie Chatfield’s mum?
Laura is a 64-year-old Primary School Teacher from Queensland. Just like her daughter, Laura is cheeky, full of fun and vivacious.
“A true pocket rocket with a heart of gold,” Nine described her.
Laura has been married twice, but has raised her two daughters, Abbie and Jolie, on her own for 30 years. After pouring love and energy into her children, she feels it is finally time to fill her own cup.
However, that isn’t going to stop Laura gushing over her daughters on social media. She frequently tributes posts to their birthdays and career milestones, including when Abbie won Australia Commercial Radio Award in 2023.
How did Abbie Chatfield become famous?
Abbie was the runner-up on The Bachelor in 2019, where she then became known for her candour. The now 30-year-old, worked tirelessly to launch her career and is now incredibly successful in the media industry. She leveraged her reputation into starting a podcast It’s A Lot where she discusses feminism, politics, sex, bad dating stories, and mental health.
She also competed and won in the 2021 season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia. Abbie then switched to hosting on The Masked Singer and FBoy Island.
