The Actor Awards are here! You may be asking, what are the Actor Awards? And I don’t blame you. Formerly called the SAG-AFTRA (the Screen Actors Guild — American Federation of Radio and Television Artists) Awards, the renamed this year.
They will now forever be called the Actor Awards. This is because the trophy has always been called ‘The Actor”, so they are aligning the awards show with the trophy.
In 2026, you can stream the red carpet coverage and the awards show on Netflix from 11 am AEDT. Find out our favourite red carpet looks here.
Nobody Wants This star Kristen Bell returns in 2026 as the host of the event. During the red show coverage, she referred to it as her “one-woman show”.
Harrison Ford will also be recognised with the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award.
And in a surprise honour, Australia’s own Yerin Ha, current leading lady on the latest season of Bridgerton, is the 2026 Actor Awards Ambassador. Every year, a member of the acting community is chosen to “represent the utmost values of the acting profession, serving as a positive role model for the next generation of performers and actively using their platform to advocate for humanitarian and public service endeavours.”
