With the initial wedding ceremonies out of the way on Married At First Sight Australia 2026, the couples are getting ready to dive into the experiment.
Returning to match and guide the couples are relationship experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling, and sexologist Alessandra Rampolla.
Some of these couples have started the 13th season with a bang, others are learning to merely co-exist with a partner they don’t get along with.
Not everyone will survive the three months, but that is what makes MAFS so exciting! Below are all the couples matched on Married At First Sight Australia 2026.
Married At First Sight Australia 2026 Couples:
Bec & Danny
On their wedding day, this match faced a minor hiccup as Bec, 35, questioned why Danny, 34, was talking about getting arrested in his wedding vows.
While this was quickly resolved, their issues continued as Bec was friend-zoned after being intimate on the honeymoon. In the following weeks, the pair have worked on the romantic side of their relationship and remain together in the experiment.
Rebecca & Steve
After finding love, marriage and divorce, Rebecca and Steve were ready to find someone to enjoy their next stage of life with.
Rebecca, 51, immediately connected with “silver fox” Steve, 50, at the MAFS wedding. After a harmonious ceremony, with Steve gushing over his bride’s “beautiful soul,” the pair jet-setted off to their honeymoon, where their chemistry continued.
“I can’t honestly believe how happy I am. I have given up so much to be here, but I think he’s actually the perfect match for me,” Rebecca said.
Unfortunately, the wedding bliss quickly turned sour. Rebecca and Steve pair are no longer still together.
Mel & Luke
This pairing was one of the more disastrous beginnings on MAFS.
Mel, 28, was expecting a fairytale wedding and a rom-com worthy leading man. But after Luke, 30, was late to the ceremony because he forgot the rings, Mel shut down.
Unfortunately, Mel and Luke’s relationship has stalled ever since. The relationship experts have their work cut out for them with these two…
Gia & Scott
The self-proclaimed ‘power couple’ of the 2026 season is Gia and Scott.
Gia, 35 and a proud mother, immediately hit it off with Scott, 33.
“Honestly, I couldn’t thank the experts enough for matching me with someone like Gia,” Scott told MAFS producers. “This is the one I’ve been looking for. This is a true love story right now.”
Can anything truly break these two apart? So far, not yet! Gia and Scott are still together.
Rachel & Steven
Experiencing their fair share of dating woes, Rachel and Steven have been matched on MAFS 2026.
Rachel, 35, hopes to find someone who will cherish her and compliment her. Provided it’s smooth sailing in this experiment, Steve, 34, could be the one.
So far, Rachel and Steven are still together.
Brook & Chris
Can opposites attract? Well, the MAFS experts felt there were some similarities between Brook and Chris. So far, they seem to be getting along quite well, with Brook getting accustomed to Chris’ “diva” ways.
“Chris is a stubborn guy,” she said.
However, there was just no saving this relationship particularly after Brook watched his audition video. It’s safe to say, Brook and Chris are no longer together.
Alissa & David
Viewers’ jaws dropped on the floor when Alissa told David, “I don’t think I can marry you” during the wedding. Thankfully, it was just a joke.
And since this interesting start, Alissa and David have been inseparable. We have high hopes for these two!
Julia & Grayson
Julia had no idea if she was walking down the aisle to greet a man or woman, but she was perfectly matched with Grayson.
Both feeling that “spark” during the wedding, Julia and Grayson’s connection continues to grow.
“You make me feel safe. I love your energy,” he told Julia.
Stella & Filip
Stella absolutely believes in soulmates, and hopefully Filip is the one!
The pair certainly have a lot to bond over, given Stella moved from Lithuania to Australia nine years ago, meanwhile, Filip moved from Croatia when he was just one year old.
“I’m craving connection,” she confessed.
Despite external conflicts in the experiment, Stella and Filip are going strong.
Stephanie and Tyson
The first of this season’s intruders, Stephanie and Tyson, got off to a rocky start. Stephanie is ambitious, driven, and passionate, hoping to find someone with similar traits. At 31-years-old, Stephanie has never been in love.
Tyson is a former soldier, serving in an Afghanistan tour, a devout Christian, and a divorcee. At just 23-years-old, he married a Mormon woman from Utah and maintained a long-distance relationship until their divorce. He has now been single for six years.
Both are conservative and reject “woke culture”. However, Tyson gets into hot water when he says that he wants a “submissive wife” who would “take a back seat.” Does he actually? Or does he just not know what the word dismissive means?
Chris and Sam
Another intruder couple, Chris and Sam, have very similar interests and appear at first viewing to be a great match.
After spending some time in the US, Sam returned home to Australia to open a successful cycle spin studio. The 34-year-old has been in two major relationships, and both ended due to distance. A blend of country and city life, Chris owns both a gym and a farm!
38-year-old Sam also loves the outdoors and shares that he hopes to be matched with a masculine partner who enjoys dressing up and getting muddy on the farm.
But as always, no relationship is perfect. Chris is expecting two children. He is the sperm donor for his friends, who are a lesbian couple, and he’s also expecting another child via a surrogate. He didn’t share the information with his husband on their wedding day, wanting to get to know him better.
Juliette and Joel
The final intruder couple is the similarly named Joel and Juliette. After enjoying her independence, having been single for four years, Juliette is more than ready to settle down. In her search for love, she’s travelled overseas, fallen hard twice and even told a guy she loved him on a second date – only to be ghosted the next day.
Joel has spent the last five years reinventing himself into a stronger and more confident person. His outlook shifted following a bad break-up.
They were both initially taken by the other’s outgoing personalities; however, Joel’s wedding speech did not endear him to Juliette and at the commitment ceremony, she shared that she wasn’t attracted to him.
