Hello and welcome back to another spoiler-heavy Farmer Wants A Wife 2026 recap! Or should I say the *final* Farmer Wants A Wife recap for 2026. Yes, that’s right. It’s FINALLY reunion time. (Seriously, did anyone else have FWAW withdrawals over the last two weeks?! What am I going to do now the reunion’s done and dusted?? I guess I’ll just sit around and twiddle my thumbs until Farmer Wants A Wife 2027 rolls around.)
I have been covering this show for the better part of a decade. This popular reality show, responsible for 11 marriages and close to 30 children, is a mainstay on Aussie television. Will this year’s crop of farmers stack up?
SPOILERS ahead!
Episode 15: Reunion Episode
Jumping right in, the reunion started with the farmers, you know, reuniting. It was actually quite sweet to see the five of them together again, catching up over a beer. Of course, they didn’t reveal too much because beloved host Natalie Gruzlewski wasn’t there yet.
Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait too long to get some gossip! Right after their beer, Zac, Jarrad, Alex, Jason and Dylan met up with Natalie, and she did not beat around the bush; she started grilling them right away.

Starting with Zac, Natalie asked if he and Maya are still together. And they are!
“Maya came back to the farm [once filming wrapped] and we spent a lot of time together… She met my closest friends and family,” Zac gushed.
And then Maya came out, all smiles. “We’re still together. Stronger than ever,” she said.
“The spark has ignited into a flame,” Zac agreed.

During their romantic exchange, the camera kept cutting to Alex, who looked like he was holding back tears. Obviously, he looked so upset because he isn’t with Eddy anymore; I bet the Channel 7 execs are furious that the news broke before this reunion aired…
As for Zac and Maya, they’ve decided to do long distance for the time being, but after six months to a year, Maya plans to eventually move to his farm.
Next up was my favourite farmer, Jarrad (not. If you’ve been reading my recaps, you’ll know I’ve never been too fond of Jarrad).
The almond farmer revealed that Brodie went back to his farm for a little bit after filming wrapped but then obviously had to go back home. But despite the distance, the two are still together.
Brodie then came out and joined Jarrad. She said things were going really well before Jarrad bluntly said:
“We’ve gone back to basics, and it’s early days in the relationship.” Yikes, I forgot how frustratingly noncommittal Jarrad could be.
Despite this comment, though, Brodie went on to share that the two have actually taken a very big step in their relationship: she has met Jarrad’s children.
“I have met Jarrad’s beautiful boys,” Brodie proudly told Natalie.
And I have to admit, after this admission, Jarrad did warm up a little bit and said he’d love to have another child with Brodie.

Then finally came the moment I’ve been waiting for since I found out Alex and Eddy broke up: Alex in the hot seat with Natalie.
Sadly, we had to relive the whole religion thing AGAIN. But we did get an interesting insight that we haven’t gotten previously: It turns out Alex said before that now-infamous dinner, “Does anyone want to say grace?” Which is why Eddy ended up saying grace that night. It wasn’t as random as it was portrayed to be!
Alex did tell Natalie that he said it jokingly and was genuinely surprised when Eddy gave a sincere grace. But I’ve always wondered why Eddy randomly did it and kicked off one of the most annoying storylines in Farmer Wants A Wife history (of course, nowhere near as annoying as the Thomas-Claire-Clarette love triangle in 2025).
The mushroom farmer then revealed that despite overcoming the religion debacle and then leaving the show early, clearly head over heels for one another, Eddy broke up with him a few weeks after filming wrapped.
“Pretty much as soon as the cameras stopped rolling, I felt that she pretty much recoiled… She pulled back,” Alex said.
“She broke up with me… It was a ten-minute video chat while she was in Victoria and I haven’t really spoken to her since,” he continued.
“But I wanted to keep trying and go steady with her.”

Natalie then asked Alex if he could talk to Eddy; what would he want to know?
“I probably want to know why she flipped so suddenly. It felt like she was committed and then she wasn’t,” Alex replied.
And then in the plot twist of the century (that’s probably a bit of an overstatement, but I literally did not see this coming), Natalie brought Eddy out. Alex obviously wasn’t expecting Eddy to be there either; he visibly gulped and looked nervous, angry and heartbroken all at the same time.
Eddy then shared her side of the story and basically said that a work trip made her pull the plug on the relationship.
“That time away from Alex made me realise it wasn’t working,” she said.
“We have very different relationship styles… Opposites often attract, but it was hard to overcome those differences.”
“I’m glad you cleared the air,” said Natalie as she tried to end the conversation right then and there.
At this point, I literally screamed at the TV, “No Natalie, the air is NOT clear! Alex obviously wants to confront Eddy and hash it all out!!!”
Thank the lord, Alex cut Natalie off and said, “No, I have more.”
He then asked Eddy why she didn’t want to try to make things work and why she ended things so soon after filming wrapped.

Eddy said that she quickly realised once they left Farmer Wants A Wife that they not only had different views on religion, they also had different views on politics and values. Eddy went on to say that those differences would’ve made a long-term relationship very hard and rather than facing constant compromise and/or significant heartbreak down the track, she just wanted to end things before it got “serious”.
Which I have to admit makes total sense. But Alex accused Eddy of not giving the relationship a proper go. She disagreed, which led to Alex saying:
“If you feel as though the time you gave it [our relationship] was appropriate, then that’s your prerogative.”
Cold as ice, Alex! It was clear to me watching this whole exchange that this is a man who is hurt. This is a man who has had his heart ripped out and wants answers.
But Natalie quickly wrapped things up — boo, I could honestly watch a ten-part series of Alex cross-examining Eddy about what went down — by asking if Alex still wants to find true love. He said yes and then, I think to save face, “It was tough after you [Eddy] ended things. But it wasn’t heartbreak.”
I’m sorry, but I absolutely beg to differ. Alex, you were so obviously still hurt and hung up about the breakup at the reunion. But I hope you’re doing better now.

Jason was up next. The dairy farmer opened up about how hard it was that many of his women left within the first few days of the experience. But he was ultimately thankful because it led him to Poppy; aw, how sweet! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: we must protect Jason, the big ol’ softie, at all costs.
Natalie asked the question everyone wondered all season: Why keep Poppy around and ultimately choose her when she made it clear she doesn’t want kids? (Jason was very outspoken about wanting more kids.)
“There was just something about Poppy I was drawn to,” he simply replied. Fair enough.
Poppy herself then came out and revealed that she and Jason are still going strong. The two spend most weekends together. Thankfully, distance doesn’t hinder their relationship. Poppy also shared that she has met Jason’s children and “loves” them. I’m honestly so happy for them.

To wrap up the reunion, Natalie chatted with Dylan. He spoke about how he had an instant connection with Ally and how that spark just grew over the season, even when she briefly ran away from the farm.
The sheep farmer then divulged that after the Farmer Wants A Wife finale, Dylan and Ally spent a few weeks together, and they even road-tripped to a rodeo.
Of course, Dylan then dropped a bit of a bombshell:
“But I had to get back to the farm, and I haven’t seen Ally since… I’m a very busy bloke, and I need Ally to understand that.”
For a second, I thought he was saying that he and Ally weren’t together anymore! But they are; they were just doing long-distance.
Ally walked out at this stage, and she shared that she was literally all set to move closer to Dylan’s farm as soon as the reunion finished filming; in fact, her packed bags were backstage.

In my opinion, after Natalie spoke to Dylan and Ally, the episode ended rather abruptly, with Zac and Maya, Jarrad and Brodie, Jason and Poppy and Dylan and Ally all slow dancing. Alex and Eddy were nowhere to be seen.
And that was literally it. Farmer Wants A Wife 2026 is officially over. See you all next year!
